i. driving at night when you're tired and had little sleep .
Situation: Ate is driving. I'm at the passenger's seat. We're traversing that road (i forgot it's name) in front of Manila City Hall. It's nighttime, and traffic was hell. A jeep, whose driver is either suffering from diarrhea or ravenously hungry, tries to cut in front of us.
Ate: Ano ba para kang tite pasok nang pasok kahit saan masikip!
Me: ... um, k.
ii. new toy
After hearing about an itty-bitty laptop called Asus EEE PC701, i resolved to get one myself. i cajoled my mother into buying me one (but with a heavy price: she said that if i did not get a 4.0 on ALL 3 of my subjects, she will be taking it back). Then i saw the EEE PC900 with a bigger screen and better memory. I christened it "Yuki," the Japanese word for "snow," because *anime fan mode ON* i love Prince Yuki Sohma from Fruits Basket. *anime fan mode OFF* An itty-bitty laptop is very convenient for me because now I don't have to tell my "employer" (i.e. the person who gives me articles to re-write) that I won't be available on certain dates because I'm in school and it's too expensive to stay inside a computer shop. I can earn more money!
iii. download cut paste fail
Regi asked me to download from torrent the installer of Baldur's Gate 2. I have no idea what this game is (though I've heard about it from Bugie) so I downloaded a 3.02 GB monster that had an SOA and TOB expansion (whatever that means). After downloading it for 3 days, I copied it to my external hard drive. I don't know what happened, but when Regi and I met up and I was supposed to transfer it to his hard drive, it vanished! it even vanished from my desktop computer!
so i'm downloading it again T-T
iv. papers
I like hanging out with teachers checking papers. At least I got comic relief in the midst of stressing over take home final exams.
v. the new starbucks on taft
DLSU's Wifi signal is slightly detectable, but because of low signals it's like you didn't even connect. The only edge this starbucks has over the other one (a.k.a. my home) is the outlets on its smoking area. And the friendly baristas have moved there :D
vi. course card day
On September 4! After a whole year of not receiving course cards I'm getting one! I'm excited/scared!
