What an incredible weekend it was, although I'm paying for it now. Went to a couple of parties friday night (didn't drink, actually only had one guinness this weekend). Got home around 3:45 in the morning, got to sleep around 4. Woke up saturday at 7, got up and ready to go, drove to spokane, took a quick nap at the parking lot for sullivan hole. Kayaked a little bit, didn't go for too long, boating alone just isn't much fun. Called Brett, he pinched a nerve, so he couldn't go mountainboarding. I ended up mountainboarding alone too, had a little more fun doing that since I'm a little more at ease on my mountainboard than I am in my new playboat. After that I went and picked up some stuff for my halloween costume then went over to Brett's and watched the last half of 28 days later. After that I went downtown, killed the last hour before the show going and looking at spokane falls. The upper falls looks totally runnable in both channels, but the lower falls funnels everything into a bad spot.

On to the show now. The Briggs were the opener, and were every bit as good as I expected them to be. The pit was a little disorganized, not enough people there knew how to circle pit. Street Dogs played second, and I was surprised to find that I did, in fact, know a couple of their songs. They even closed the set with one of my favorite Sham 69 songs, Borstal Breakout. There was a short anti bush video featuring Jello Biafra, and then Flogging Molly came on stage. There's only one way to describe Flogging Molly live, AMAZING. The energy they had, the way they worked the crowd, and the unity among all the fans, it was incredible. We had our corner of the dance floor staked out and formed a jig circle. There was singing, dancing, and an overall sense of brotherhood that occurs all too rarely in this world.

After the show I ended up having to drive back to pullman (nowhere in spokane to stay that night) and ended up making a short appearance at a toga party before going home and crashing.
