comence operation "disappear into the countryside"!
i visited the new house and farm yesterday...
i still need to have diplomatic discussions about the lease and board
specifics
for those of you who are still in the dark (generally speaking, i haven't
kept you there on purpose)
my dear friends Lauren and Heather have bought a farm (literally, not
figuratively)
it's a beautiful farm with rolling hills, pastures, fields, woods, trees,
mosquitos and a river, not to mention a beautiful little house in the middle of
it all.
a while back, they asked if i'd like to rent a room from them if they ever
found their dream farm, and of course i answered with a yes...
well the farm has been found and purchased, and i'm going to be out of
ypsilanti and into webberville in the next week. in fact i just got off the
phone with Lauren and it sounds like Pippin is going to be trailered out there
Sunday! I'll probably move most of my things over the next week, aiming to be
totally up there by next weekend. Connor still shouldn't have close contact with
other dogs until at least wednesday, just to be safe. Holy cow this is going to
be so awesome! I'll post photos once I'm up there... (obviously)
this is all really exciting, and everyone is encouraged to come visit me out
in the middle of nowhere :)
i'll have to see about getting together some sort of campfire cookout party
kind of thing later this month, maybe.
i'll still be in the area teaching in Salem two maybe three times a week and
it sounds like i may be instructing occassionally at the NLS pony camp this
summer so I'll be around a lot during that (and i might be looking for somewhere
to bunk in the area...) In the fall i'll be finishing up my art degree at EMU so
i'll be around monday wednesday and friday for sure.
whew, that's it for now folks!
cross-posted because i can.
