My latest self-improvement project has been finances. Now since I was the appalling sort of child that added up prices in catalogs for fun (not forgetting shipping and handling charges!) I've mostly enjoyed the exercise. However, there have been painful moments, such at the point where I had to admit to myself that I am, in fact, the sort of person that spends that much money on dinning out (absolutely disgusting) or on clothes (not that you can tell from what I normally wear).
In other cleaning news, some of my friends are moving and hosting a yard sale to reduce the amount of stuff they have to pack. I've contributed a few useful things to the sale, but mostly I've used it to finally get rid of the mountain of track shirts I've accumulated from 15 years of running. I've kept the high school state track shirt from the year I won the 100H, my team shirts from college, and my marathon shirt, but everything else is gone. I don't suppose anyone will want them, but I'll price them at a quarter and see if they can be useful as rags.
