Random update:
National Championship was incredible! As soon as I got back to Boston, I put up a LSU NC sign on my cube, and I got a pennant to hang up right next to my 2003 one, above my desk. I'd take a picture and show how ridiculous my LSU wall of my cube is, but Raytheon frowns upon cameras and taking unauthorized pictures in the facility.
Speaking of Raytheon, the SM-3 missile used to shoot down the powerless spy satellite was made (and modified) by Raytheon. Woot! Nice to see successes in the media. Raytheon seems to be the most shy of the defense contractors.
I've finally gotten an assignment at work that I really like, and there is obvious room for growth. We'll see how long it lasts. I'm disgruntled about a few other work related things, but that's a story for another day.
The weather people here are usually pretty good at predicting snow. But the past week or so, we've been getting snow with no warning. Not any surprise blizzards or anything, but it's unsettling to think it was supposed to be nice and sunny all day, but end up walking out into 2 inches of snow instead.
I'm tired of being round, so I decided I needed to make a change. I joined a gym in January, and I've been going on average 6 days a week. It's taken me about 6 weeks to lose about 6 pounds. Assuming linear progression, I should be at my target weight after about 8000 more trips. Excellent! The "limit" to weight loss is like 1-2 pounds/week. I'm a little grumpy that I'm on the low end of the range, but I do eat a lot of crap for food. I still don't eat anything naturally green, so I guess I really shouldn't complain.
It also doesn't help that last week, I found what may have been spider eggs on a thing of bananas. It was first thing in the morning, I didn't know what they were, and I wrapped them up in a bag and left a note that something was growing on them in case Justin tried to eat one. At work, I found out they may be spider eggs. I am deathly afraid of spiders! So I made sure Justin got home first to remove the bananas from the building before I'd even leave work.
I'm trying to plan a trip to Vegas. I've never been! Looking to stay at the Luxor hotel (the pyramid one).
