Randomness is Good?!

Sooooo.....like many other times I went up to NY yesterday to see my dah-ling Nicci. Only this time I was finally meeting Suz a fellow BLOOD fan and collaborator on a project for the band.

So moving on. It was just like any other typical day. We hit the Japanese bookstore Kinokuniya as well as Book-offs; since Nicci had never been there before. Browsed by some stores....thank god for the most part nice weather. No rain or wind...but god was it humid. *falls over* Yet I still went and got a hot coffee. *L* So upon are many where do you wanna go conversations....we were walking by this park I believe it was called Bryant Park. We knew lots of things were going on cus apparently it was "May Day". SO seeing a crowd up in the park wasn't anything unusual until a band starts up apparently again....were all like....hey there pretty good. Than all of the sudden we hear the vocalist singing in Japanese?! Us: WTF?! *scamper up the stairs* Turns out it was a bunch of japanese guys. They did have one girl that got up and sang one song in the end in english called "It's so Easy". A song from most of your parents day. Cute song though. So I just thought they were a bunch of guys from the area playing. Turns out they were a band from Nagasaki, Japan and they were traveling around performing for a cause; Nuclear Abolition, Proliferation and War. Let's have Peace. Than they were collecting ribbons everywhere they played. You would sign your name and leave a message. They were taking all the ribbons back home to make a collage to hang up. *kudos* So afte this we try to find someone that looks they are working with these guys that is either american or can speak english. Only two of the guitarists could speak english. So we found this guy that was talking to the vocalist and apparently works at aradio station in NY. We wanted to know if they had cds...which they had...but since we got there towards the end of the set they were SOLD OUT! *bummer* SO than we were like what's their name? The radio guy trys to ask the vocalist. *keeping in mind he couldn't speak japanese and the vocalist can't speak english* SO the vocalist rattles something off in japanese...about the cd I think. *L* Than the radio guy loks us...were like we don't that know that much japanese. I start laughing...so than the vocalist starts laughing. It was rather amusing. So than we finally get across...do you have a business card or something with the bands name on it. The girl doing the ribbons tells him what we want. *Vocalist: Oooooh...*chuckles* Yah.* Proceeds to whip out his wallet and pulls out his own personalized business card. I got a kick out of that which had me laughing again. In turn he started laughing. I guess laughter is infectious. ^_^ So we thanked him for the cards and shook his hand and wished him luck. He was very nice and good-natured. His name was Tomohiro Maki. The bands name is Tatsumaki. Here is their website in case you wanna check them out. http://www.cotasante.co.jp/2150/TATSUMAKI/
Well....that's about it. That was my random happening. I love it when fun things happen like that. Good times Good times. Now it's time to study for finals. Yeah!
