If you're anti-gay, Milk is NOT the movie for you.
Just for kicks, I went and read the one-star reviews of the movie Milk on Amazon, and wow... only one purported to actually be about the movie's merits as a film, yet the person didn't watch the whole thing. So how do they know it wasn't any good? And subsequent replies to peoples' comments revealed even this reviewer was a Prop H8er. So, my question is, WHY are you watching a movie like Milk? Surely you couldn't possibly be ignorant of its subject matter. It's crazy, that's what it is.
Another lit into the liberal media (I love this conspiracy theory, especially because it has NO basis in fact, but I digress) as the reason the movie was so widely acclaimed. No, dear. It was widely acclaimed because it was a good movie. And because Sean Penn is seriously awesome. One review mentioned his politics. They have nothing to do with it, except if you don't like them. Judge the movie on its merits, not whether or not you agree with it. Also, just a hint: actually watching it might help.
Oh, and the topper of it all? One review that started in about the "gay agenda." Good grief. These are probably the same types that claim the Jews use the Holocaust as a crutch.
