I've Been Through The Desert On A Horse With No Name
ARGH JEBUS my quadricepts. X_x Ow, ow, ow, it hurts to climb stairs now. D: And yet, the exact same thing happened many years ago when I last played laser tag. So yeah, Friday was our office Christmas party, and this year they decided to take us out to an amusement place for laser tag pew pew action. I gotta say, it's a real shame work isn't this exciting every day.
I came 11th overall out of 40, which was a bit meh, but at least our team of 5 won the overall team competition. They even gave me a medal for that and everything. This is quite possibly the first time I've ever gotten a medal for anything in my entire life. ...Figures that it's for shooting people, hey?
Also, after the laser tag, they took us out for this fancy three course buffet lunch down by the sea side at what appeared to be a function room at the yacht club. Which in and of itself was pretty impressive too. So... much... food... X_x
I'd tip my hat to the office manager for organising such an elaborately orchestrated day, only I don't have a hat. Hmm, I tip my medal then.
Been playing Fallout: New Vegas a WHOLE FUCKING lot recently. Y'know, to the point where it's as bad as an alcohol or a drug addiction. The only difference is, this addiction ends as soon as I run out of things to kill, places to visit, and hookers to seduce people to talk to.
But yeah, been playing it on hardcore mode which is a lot more fun than I would have thought. I'd thought the burden of constantly having to eat, drink, and sleep in game would get aggravating and, although it does get a little annoying sometimes, I have noticed that it's changed the way I play a bit. Everywhere I go, I try to keep an eye out for a clean water source to take a drink from, and everything I kill, I try to cook over a camp fire and save for a meal later.
Being totally self-sufficient, surviving in the harsh desert, righting wrongs and dispensing justice through a sniper rifle scope, and generally kicking arse and taking names - it's enough to make anybody feel good about themselves, I reckon. >:3 d
I only take a small break from the game tonight partly to update this thing right here, and partly because I'm waiting for a patch which is supposed to come out in the next day or so to fix a show stopping bug that I've encountered with one of the quests.
So, that being the case, I've been doing very, very little else lately besides working and scraping together whatever meagre hours I can to catch up on sleep. Haven't drawn anything in months now which really makes me a little worried that I'll lose my touch. :B
Must make up for this later, yes. Probably do one of those art memes again (and get over ambitious and end up spending a couple of months on.) Yes, that should serve to compensate. o_o d
But not tonight though. Tonight I watch me some Inception. Right now. Too-rah.
