Christmas Cash in!
Hello all!
I hope you had a good Christmas! Mine was great!
On Sunday Leo came up from Osaka to be here until the 29th when we go to Tokyo for New Years, then down to his area until Jan 6th! No work for two weeks- first great present!
Christmas isn't really a holiday here so much as a dating, go out to dinner day. So the celebrations are not ramapant.
-On Christmas Eve we went to Nagoya port with some other teachers and watched a HUGE fireworks display. MASSIVE fireworks. It was quite fun. Fireworks Display- second great present. Horrible
"Christmas story intersperced into the display that the Japanese speakers with us didn't even understand"- Third Great present
Dinner afterward- Down half present.. not so good, but good company.
When Leo and Igot back we opened our stockings that we had made each other, which were made with the goal of being ugly as possible. Leo found one for me that I coud climb in! Haha!! It's awsome!
-Christmas Day Leo and I got up and opened gift we got each other.
I got:
A funny TOIEC Halloween book!
A Japanese Matryoshka- SO cool!!
A shirt that says Kuma on it!
And finally- an AMAZING jacket. It's so nice and very warm!

We tried to call friends and family with no success as Skype as proven to be pure shit! I signed up for it so that I could call home on Christmas and it would not connect the calls fuck you very much. -Down big Present score!
For dinner we made stuffing and mashed potatoes which was a first (and successful) attempt at making mashed potatoes in Japan.
The evening concluded with movie musical marathon!
So without the mention of Skype, Christmas was a lot of fun! It was just us and we didn't hear from our familys, but we had a great time. Yay!
