Maotsujun! ^.~ [part 2]yoshi09March 27 2009, 23:38:59 UTC
(continued from part 1)
Suddenly someone bumped into him, HARD.
“Itte~!” Jun rubbed his elbow where the person ran into.
“Sorry!” The graduating student said, rubbing her shoulder, “I was looking for my friend and wasn’t watching where I was going.”
“Me too. Do you know where the graduating literature students may be?” Jun asked looking down at the student. He figured they might as well attempt to help each other since they were both looking for someone. Jun’s eyes widened. “Hey! You’re Kitagawa Keiko-san!”
The graduating student also mirrored his expression, “Matsumoto-san!” She said in bafflement.
“Ne, we meet at last!” Jun started to laugh, not believing his luck.
“To think we were rumored to be a couple and we only meet now!” Kitagawa-san seemed to be completely amused, “Nice to meet you! You’re here for Inoue Mao-san?”
Jun nodded, quickly explaining his well-rehearsed excuse for the situation, “We became good friends during Hana Yori Dango filming.”
Kitagawa-san smiled in agreement, although her eyes said she already knew the secret behind his words, “I saw her getting interviewed earlier. She was headed in this direction just a few minutes ago.” She pointed to her left. Jun followed her finger to see Shun hugging a small figure clad in a beautiful green and white hakama. Definitely my hime. What’s with the extended hug?
“Ah, I see her. Thank you.” Jun said, already giving his complete attention to his girlfriend several meters away. “Who were you looking for?”
“Don’t worry- I’m getting a call from him right now. Nice meeting you, Matsumoto-san.”
“Hai, you too. Congratulations, Kitagawa-san, thanks for the help.”
They parted and Jun began to walk towards his old friends.
Mao held onto Shun a little longer, needing the comfort of an old friend to soothe her. Shun let her go right when someone cleared his throat,
“I don’t mean to interrupt but…”
“Eh? Mao-chan, seems we’ve been caught.” Shun said, jokingly. “What’s with the death glare, Jun?”
Jun was looking at Shun a little too critically. He realized he was doing so, but before he could calm himself down, his eyes automatically went to look for the soothing presence of his girlfriend, and even he couldn’t blame Shun for wanting to hold her for so long. Inoue Mao was beautiful. So beautiful. Jun immediately regretted dressing so plain to disguise himself, and wished he wore something much nicer to attempt to look half the caliber of the stunning, breathtaking, gorgeous, and lovely she was. He licked his lips. How did he get so lucky?
“Jun-kun, napkin for your drool?” Ishii-san’s wife said with amusement.
“Perhaps a bucket?” Shun inquired.
“Shut up.” Jun was blushing a little. He looked to Mao, and handed her his own bouquet of beautiful overflowing roses. “Omedatou.” Mao didn’t look too happy to see him for some reason, even though she smiling at him it looked forced. He had to keep talking, or else he might pounce on her, “I- I met into your classmate, Kitagawa-san, for the first time just now. She… she pointed me out to you because I was lost. Small world, ne? I didn’t know you were both graduating-”
Suddenly Mao was in his arms, hugging him tightly, and his HanaDan friends started to grin at the cuteness. Jun’s heart fluttered. He hoped it didn’t show on his face. That would be really embarrassing. She pulled away, her eyes sparkling and so very happy. “Arigatou, for coming, Jun.”
“Mao-mao…” he said, unable to form coherent words, “You look… you look…”
“Pretty.” Ishii-san suggested, cheekily.
“Adorable?” Tonton supplied.
“Ravishing?” Shun continued.
“…Beautiful.” Jun finished, unknowingly ignoring his friends as he stared meaningfully into her eyes, “You’re so beautiful.”
“All right, let’s move these two lovebirds out of here before they ruin their relationship cover in front of a thousand people,” Shun said jokingly. They all headed towards the exit with good-natured laughter, looking forward to eating lunch, Mao holding the two bouquets tightly in her hands.
