Maotsujun! ^.~ [part 1]yoshi09March 27 2009, 23:38:27 UTC
Pairing: Maotsujun ^.~ Rating: G Dedicated to: misswoodihut (KYAA!!! Omedatou, Mao-chan! You’re so beautiful!! Here’s my congratulations to Mao-chan, and this was an interesting plot to take up… hope you like!)
She saw him... she wouldn’t have believed it if she didn’t see it herself, Jun has explicitly told her he was swamped with filming and work today so it would be impossible to attend her graduation ceremony… but here he was, it was unmistakable- Matsumoto Jun. Jun-kun. Her Jun. Her heart leapt to her throat and she found herself looking over the many watching eyes of the interviewers and cameras around her to get a better glimpse of him. Jun! He came, he really came!
Her manager seemed to have noticed her sudden change in attention and quickly diverted the topic before another interviewer asked a question,
“It seems like Inoue Mao-san has some catching up to do with old classmates and friends. Thank you so much for all your support!”
The photographers took a few more shots and Mao smiled politely for another minute before her manager gently ushered the camera crews away. Mao held her diploma tightly in her hands to zig zag through the crowd and toward her love. Jun…! He’s here!
A few of her friends stopped her along the way, wishing her congratulations and crying. A professor came by and wished her the best of luck. Inoue Mao nodded courteously to everyone but all she really wanted to do was be with Jun. He skipped work to be here! She felt her heart tingle with happiness. Suddenly Oguri Shun was standing in front of her with Abe Tsuyoshi, Ishii-san, and his lovely wife, all handing her a bouquet and giving her hugs respectively.
“We thought you’d never get away from the cameras, Mao-chan!” Shun said cheerily.
“Hehe, I slipped away,” Mao replied with a smile. Jun….
“Well we were hoping we could all treat you- the HanaDan crew wants to throw a graduation party for you before the dinner party,” Tonton prompted her.
“Ah, sure-” Mao said, clearly distracted as she tried to look around her ex-costar. Just then Tonton shifted to his left, and Mao could see her boyfriend again.
Jun….
Jun was there, laughing and smiling, and his genuine happiness tugged at her heart strings, and her own smile broke out on her face. So adorable… what was making him so happy? Tonton was still talking to her and so was Ishii-san, but her mind was elsewhere. Another casual step to the side by Tonton revealed the reason to Jun’s laughter. Mao’s breath hitched.
A girl. Not just any girl but…
Keiko Kitagawa.
They knew each other? Since when?
Mao felt her heart tighten. No. Don’t jump to conclusions.
But then why? Why would he be dressed so differently from the other HanaDan crew as if he didn’t want to be recognized? It was safe when the crew was around to not disguise himself, and yet, here he was wearing a brown ordinary hoodie, a cap low over his face, and regular non-flashy jeans. Like he didn’t want to be noticed. He also told her that he was busy today. Busy. Busy with who?
Stop it. He’s not doing anything wrong. He probably just ran into her. Not into me though.
“Mao-chan?” Shun waved a hand in front of her face. Mao looked up and the quick movement made her realize she had tears in her eyes.
“Hai?”
“Awww, look at you get all sentimental. Thinking about old memories already?” Shun said with a grin. He opened his arms for her, “You need a hug!”
Mao went into his arms and nodded, numbly. I need a hug.
Jun was looking around. Where is she? Johnny Kitagawa might kill him later if they find out he skipped a meeting to be with his girlfriend, but it was well worth it. …What Jun hadn’t thought about was her being so tiny and short, she could easily get lost in the crowd of so many other people. What was the point of a surprise showing if he couldn’t even find the one to surprise? He sighed and clutched the bouquet he held behind his back a little tighter. This was unexpected…
