Ramblings
I'd rather still be at the beach. Last week was rather peaceful and stress free. The beach and ocean can do that. It was also a nice reprieve from the crazy political season thus far. Sadly, I don't know if I'll make it back to the beach this summer. This week is fairly busy and the weekend even more so. August will not be much relief either. It's alright though - I kinda like to stay busy versus the alternative. Just means Chloe hasn't made it to the dog park much lately. Otherwise, she's doing good, but she's still not much of a people person.
As oil continues to tumble ( down $23 since last Monday) the market continues to rally. That's nice to see for a change. Makes my job a bit easier as well. I filled up yesterday for 3.84 / gallon. For those in the downtown area, the station on peace st and the one on Capital on the way out of town seem to be the cheapest I've seen lately.
Summer league Ultimate Tourny is this weekend. I've found a few good pickup games in Raleigh to start playing at both Monday and Tuesday nights. It's much cheaper then driving to Durham for games. They are pretty low key and beginner friendly. I'm using them for the purposes of getting better at handling in more of a game situation and some of my throws that need work. Also to hopefully improve my endurance.
