The Animania we sort of went to...
One of these days I'm not going to sit up really late the night before a convention trying to get costumes finished...not this time though^^;
But the vampire twins costumes I had been working on got done enough to wear to Animania yesterday(Melbourne)...though we were madly stitching buttons and linings on the train on the way there. Th pattern I used for the coats was a ridiculously complex Vogue couture pattern...it was actually very interesting process, but time consuming, with a lot of hand sewing required, and time was what I was sorely lacking, so the coats ended up being a very rushed job...I was sewing parts of them while sitting in the library at uni, and on the train...
I was Subaru, kureru_kasshoku was Kamui and jeb_sakurazuka re-usd the Seishirou costume I made her last year, and she made a new whatever you call that pendant Seishirou wears fertility symbol to go with it XD rowr_paintbrush was also there with us, but not in cosplay this time.
Far too many people thought we were from Code Geass...one such incident happened when we walked into the traders hall and one girls goes "Lelouch! Lelouch!" to which we say "Noooo not Lelouch!" and then she's like "Hey two Lelouches!". Clearly not listening. Though this person that thought us as vampire twins were Lelouch also thought that Jeb as Seishirou was from Deathnote...wtf?
Didn't get many photos though, and the ones I did get were bad, due to a combination of poor lighting and the fact my camera battery was going flat

Aniamania was...a bit unexciting this year, we ended up leaving earlier. We plan to actually do a photoshoot of these costumes at a later date and after I've fixed them up better >=
I also ended up being dragged out to the movies last night to see "The boat that rocked". Very fun movie
