Me, myself and I
Hello, everybody!
Somehow I kind of felt... well, motivated to write a proper introduction post. I often get motivated watching other people's work. ^_~ And since lilly0 and yukitsubute have made such a huge effort, I'll try my best with this one too.
Your name?
*sighs* I don’t know. I don’t have a nickname, thanks to my parents. Just call me Hikaru, if you don't know my real name. ^^
How old are you?
You shouldn’t ask a girl about her age, really. I’ve been told a lot that I’m too old for being a fangirl, though. ^^” Well, I’ll just say this much: No matter how old I get, I’ll always be younger than my beloved KinKi Kids. (Gomen ne, Koichi XD )
Where do you live?
I live in Austria, Europe. A.U.S.T.R.I.A. No kangaroos!!!!!! But we’ve got classy coffee shops. ^^
Your Family?
I live with my mother and my younger brother, who is also a very dear friend to me. Oh and I’ve got a cat too. >^_^<
What do you do in real life?
Well, what do I do? I've studied the wonders of the English language for quite a while, next to that I was a dancing teacher for about five years, including diploma and all. When our dancing school sadly had to close I was unemployed for a longer time, but then fortunately I found my hew job that I love very much. I am working as Call Centre Agent in the biggest telecomunication company in my country. It's an interesting work with a lot of variety and many challanges that I like to tackle every day. :D Oh, I cook too.
And other than that?
I’m a full-time busy fangirl. Always have been. Maybe it’s a genetic thing? Who knows? But I am a passionate fangirl with all the flailing and squealing and quoting and driving people mad with anecdotes that comes with it. I’ve been fangirling about quite some things in my life, such as Dragon Ball, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Alan Rickman, queer as folk, and I can proudly say that even though my main focus keeps shifting, for none of these things I have ever had a feeling of “why on earth was I into that?”. I still love all the things listed above, it’s just that my main focus has shifted to something new.
What’s your main focus right now?
Johnny’s Jimusho. ^^ I. Love. Johnnies. Just about all of them. Having watched “Hana Kimi” and fallen in love with Toma-kun, I came to love these sweet guys no end and have been following them ever since. Literally, as I have made a trip to Japan, just to visit a live concert. I really enjoy all of the JE groups, old and young and no matter the style. If I had to pick some of my personal highlights, I’d list NewS, Kanjani8, Tackey & Tsubasa, Tokio, Kis-my-ft2 and, of course, my all time favourites: KinKi Kids. <3 I really like all the other groups too, including non-debuted units like MA, MAD and THEY budou.
Other music that I listen to is also mainly Asian. I have a small soft spot for K-Pop, but since Tohoshinki broke into pieces I haven't really followed anything anymore. SHINee are nice. 2ne1, Girl’s Generation and Brown Eyed Girls would be my favourite girl bands.
Furthermore, I also enjoy other Japanese music. The Brilliant Green, Koda Kumi, Flumpool, AAA, Kalafina, w-inds, Chemistry and B’z should be mentioned here. Not too long ago I've also found a selected number of J-Rock/Visual Kei loves. Way top on the list is Yasu with his "Acid Black Cherry" project. I cannot even begin to say how much I love him. I also very much enjoy Breakerz, T.M. Revolution (also Abongton Boy'S School), SID and Gackt. And… it might be debatable whether this should be listed here when I mentioned KinKi Kids above, but to me the things that Tsuyoshi does as solo work are so different (and commercially separated) from all JE stuff, I also want to say that I simply love his work the most.
Other than that, I’m generally into Japan and its culture. I love watching J-dramas and Japanese TV shows. Among my favourites are Hana Kimi, Nobuta wo produce, Orthros no inu, Remote, Summer Snow, Joker (Omg, did I really write that? How come it turned out like this? ^^” ), Sunao ni narenakute, Buzzer Beat, Boys over flowers (Korean!). For all of these, I love the main actors. ^^ There is certainly much more I could add to this list, but these are my top favourites that I can think of right now. When it’s about TV shows, Domoto Kyoudai, Hey!x3 and Dashutsu game DERO are my favourites. Concerning movies, I love Death Note, 8uppers, Battle Royal and I realise that this should really not be listed here, but I simply love Watanabe Ken and it’s such a rare thing that a Japanese guy gets a good role in a Hollywood blockbuster, so I just want to promote it and add Inception. ^^
I’ll also out myself as a huge BL fan. Well, I guess that looking at my journal this will not surprise a lot of people, but for those who don’t know what it is, BL stands for Boy’s Love and it means stories of whatever kind about gay guys. I can’t help it, I just love it. I also have a weakness for pretty guys in general.

So, all you do is fangirling?
Er… no. Actually, I do about every nerdy thing in the book. I love fantasy stories, movies like Bill&Ted or Hudson Hawk and I’m a gamer. I play just about everything. MahJongg, Poker, Munchkin, Activity, Werewolf and RPGs. And no, I don’t mean the kind of “let’s turn on the PS3 and play some Final Fantasy” thing. Well, okay, I do that too. ^^” But right now I’m talking about the geeky D&D stuff, where you sit together in a cellar, a character sheet and about a hundred dice stuffed on a table and then you play for hours going.
Other than that, I do creative writing. Fanfiction is one of my most beloved spare time activities. If you’re interested, roam my journal.
Tell us something about your character.
Well, to sum it up, I think I’m a rather plain person.
That won’t do. Some of your strong points?
Well… I like just about everyone. Seriously, you must be down-right evil to make me dislike you. I’m also a very positive person, always smiley. :D What else? Well, people keep telling me that I am a kind person. I wonder whether that’s really good, though. ^^” Being kind makes you an easy target for certain things. But really, I don’t think I mind.
Weak points?
I’m kind of lazy. As in, I suck with self-motivation. If someone else doesn’t kick my ass, I most probably won’t get it moving. XD I’m also quite a cry-baby. I cry over the smallest thing, really. It annoys me, but I just can’t help it. And I’m bad when it’s about talking about my weaknesses, so this is all I’ll give you here.
There are people who talk to you voluntarily?
Well, luckily, and it keeps amazing me, but somehow it seems that the same kind of freaks will always find each other somehow. And I am surrounded by the best freaks in the world. ^^ I love them, they are basically family. Even though my brother has his own little bunch of guys around him, they are definitely dear to me, especially J-kun, whom I have come to love very much. So, to my most beloved friends.
B.A.: There is nothing I can say, really. Most of the people we hang out with today can sadly not appreciate how much of a fantastic miracle it is that we’ve been laughing and crying and fighting and fooling together for more than 10 years now. Looking back at how we started out I cannot help but be amazed. I couldn’t have been luckier than getting to meet you.
lilly0 : Well, ever since we’ve become friends I’ve always felt that you are the person who understands me best. It’s such a good thing that we can share so much. If it weren’t for you, I’d be one lonely fangirl around here. ^^” Oh, I cannot put this into words well. You know I love you to death and I want us to be together forever. <3
yukitsubute : Something I really love about you is that you really don’t give a shit if we disagree about certain things. ^^ Is it bad to state this for a first thing, I wonder? ^^" But honestly, I haven’t experienced this kind of thing with other people like this and I really appreciate it a lot. I admire your strong character in that. And then I love it even more when we do agree and fool around, making wedding plans, or thinking about how we can sneak on stage as Ranger number 8, or kidnap our favourites and blackmailing Johnny into agreeing to let them marry us. XD I’m really happy that we got to be friends and I want to always be friends with you. <3 9 years... way to go, ne? ^^
J-kun: No matter what it is, you are always there to answer the call. You helped my brother through the roughest time of his life so far and somewhere along the way we’ve become friends and I am very grateful for that.
A certain someone whose name shall remain secret: Keep reaching for the stars. I know you will make it. Out of my friends you are the one with the most defined goals and watching how you work to achieve them makes me happy and motivates me as well. I’m very glad we became friends and no matter where we’ll end up, you’ll always be in my heart. ^^
Okay, okay. So you have RL friends. What about online?
I want to say that I am very happy that I met certain people here on lj.
First off, my dear maharan1 , who has helped me making one of my biggest wishes come true. I really hope we can actually meet again soon. ^^
Next, i_ate_a_panadol . You are the first person I have actually talked to on lj. I know you are very busy with school and family right now. But please know that I am very happy that I met you here.
Not too long ago I got to meet luna_truths . Thank you for chatting with me so much and for listening to my fangirling, even when it’s about people you don’t even know. ^^
Special thanks to monstakarotte and zombiezahn . Even though we’ve met in RL, I met you first in here, so I want to list you here too. I’m very glad that I found you guys. You really helped me a lot before I went on my trip. Let’s meet again some time. :)

Is there anything you want to share with the world?
Yes, there actually is. Hundreds of books have been written on how society works, how patterns rule our lives, how we see other people and what kind of mechanisms work as we percept our world and the people living in it. I think it's important that we all try to live together peacefully, without discriminating, or disregarding each other. And in order to accomplish that, you don't need any books. On the basic conception that everybody is just a small part of this one big world, I think just one statement sums up everything we need to know and I want to share it here: Being different is what makes us all the same. (yes, yes, I know, mushy, pseudo-philosophical and totally unnecessary statement here. But well, I just felt like I wanted to put that here. ^^)
