Making a Change for the better
I'd better explain this one real quick:
Change.org is looking for the top 10 ideas for America that they will present to the new administration on Inauguration Day (More info here). The Global Resources Network is an idea from FirstBook.org to provide the necessary tools to anybody serving kids to create a better educational environment for them, not just in the US but in the world.
There are a lot more causes that can be voted for as well. And yes, you do have to sign up for Change.org in order to vote, but all they ask is your name, e-mail address and a password. That's it. You don't even have to give them your real name if you don't want to.
FirstBook is a good organization, providing books to schools that would otherwise have a hard time getting the funding. And anything that gives students more to read is a good thing in my book.
