Dear Dragon:

YOU GAVE YOUR PAPA A HUG THIS MORNING!! This was the first hug in… a month? And I didn’t even ask for it. I am SOO very stoked!

Your mother and I have determined your first word is/was “Ball”, I say we determined your first word because you were very good at one syllables, the first syllable for each of the words you are/were trying to say. This past weekend you went with your grandmother as Mamamama and Dadadada went to the Renaissance Festival (every other weekend you go with grandparents, the other weekends you come with mother and father), and when you came back you were (for the first time) looking at your ball, saying “ball” and heading over to pick up your ball. It was the most clear you have been to date. It is fun to hear your voice, now that you are talking (Syllables and so far one word), your voice is rather high pitched, and very cute…
… Not that I am bias in the least.

Your father thought he would try his hand at apprenticing with a master tailor. Yesterday was Thursday the 12th of September and I took my first lesson from “Felix Needleworhty”. Yesterday he had me tracing and cutting out pieces of a pattern for a cod piece, and creating cords for these cod pieces. This man sat down at my sewing machine, that I bought shortly after mother’s day this year, and within minutes got this machine to work and sound much smoother then I think it has sounded since I have owned it. I am curious and excited to see where this leads. But then your father also has an interview on Monday to work as an auto mechanic. This one I am not sure I can do, but after a few weeks ago, working on our van, I learned I am more capable then I originally thought. So I am trying for this position, because I think I can enjoy it, if I am capable to do it, I think I can do well here, and possibly more importantly to see what I am capable of. We will see.

This morning I didn’t have to wake you up, as you were already up screaming. Seems you are not feeling well, as signs of not feeling well was all over your crib, up and down your onesie, and with blisters on your bottom. I have to blame myself for this one. In the past you liked spicy foods, and Dadadada doesn’t stop you from sharing his food. This was not real spice, as your father doesn’t care for “HOT” foods, but it appears to have been too much for you. Well, this time we are paying the price for it. I am taking notes, I am truly sorry.
