just a quickie
Today was my first day back to work after a three-day vacation. I worked on getting my basement room cleaned up a bit. I still have work to do, but I know what I can get rid of now. And I can start moving more of my stuff over. Becca said I could put some stuff in the garage. That will help when I'm bringing stuff over. I can just drop it in the garage and make trips out to pick it up later. Take my time. :)
I also did quite a bit of work getting Becca's baby shower planned. The invitations are almost ready to mail out. I need to get stamps and some cute little stickers to put on them, and then they're done. All I need besides that is food for the shower itself. Another month and a half until then so I'm not sweating it.
Today at work reminded me why I hate taking weekdays off. I don't like when other people play in my kitchen. Even just one day of it, and my freezer is totally rearranged. Grrr! I didn't have time to fix it today so I'll have fun with that tomorrow. And I found out I don't get a day off until the Sunday after next. I can use the extra money, though.
After work, I stopped by the apartment and started cleaning out the hall closet. I got rid of a whole bag of trash, and packed up some of my stuff. I still have work to do in it, but it's much better than it was. It kind of sucks running across things I had held onto from TJ or from things we had done together. Brought back a lot of memories.
But the good news of the day is that I brought my bunny Phoebe over to my basement with me. Becca's cats were sniffing at her right after I brought her in, but I don't think they'll bother her. They didn't mess with Becca's hampster. I should be getting a door this weekend so I can bring my girls over. I was crying as I left the apartment because of them. Psycha kept smacking my foot when I was going out the door. And neither she nor Maddie left my side while I was there. Becca's cats just don't cuddle the same as mine. But they'll be with me soon. I just have to get the door this weekend.
Well that's about it for my weekend. Tonight is filled with laundry. Yay. Lol. Hugs and love.
