CHAPTER TWO
Jaejoong was never one to actually enter class on time, that would damage his ‘bad boy’ image after all. Even in this school and the threat of a beating, his rebellious nature just would not let him cross those doors before the bell. He stood outside, leaning against the school’s wall. Instinctively he brought his fingers to his lips, but unlike usual, there was nothing to crave his addiction. The school had gone through the stuff he had sent beforehand, taking all of his cigarettes, his laptop, his drinks, anything that connected him to his old life or the outside world. A scowl swept across his face. No doubt someone was going to pay for his lack of nicotine.
When the song on his iPod changed, he turned up the volume. A heavy guitar, loud drums, and rough vocals assaulted his ears. A slightest trace of a smirk played at his lips. When the song faded to a close, he decided it was late enough. He needed something, anything, to keep him entertained. So he tucked his iPod in his pocket and stalked down the halls to his class. Quickly he checked his watch. Only 10 minutes late. Before he entered, he fixed his hair and plastered on his best smirk.
It seemed to go to waste though, not one head turned to face him as he walked in. Isn’t that how it was supposed to work? Student walks in late, everyone turns to look and gape in shock that there would be such a daring student?
This school really wasn’t normal.
Jaejoong’s smirk fell slightly, his eyes narrowed. Every student sat stick straight, not one person moved more than a simple blink of the eye, or a rise of the chest. The classroom seemed dead.
“Kim Jaejoong, right?” Jaejoong turned to face the front, where an older man stood, he assumed it was the teacher.
“What if I am?” he replied, shrugging as he walked to an empty seat at the back. He placed his schoolbag on the surface and slouched down in his seat. Instead of looking at the teacher, his eyes scanned the classroom. Briefly he noticed the back of his roommate’s head nearer the front row, even he sat straight. Yunho had shown Jaejoong some animation yesterday, but it seemed to have been completely sucked out of him in this classroom.
“It seems you failed to do the first bit of homework you were assigned, Mr.Kim,” the teacher stared Jaejoong down from the front, Jaejoong thought he could even hear his teeth grind. “If you had read the rule book, you would know there is no tolerance for lates, or attitude.”
Jaejoong failed to blink as the teacher walked towards him in a menacing manner. He did, however, notice how not even one student watched. Usually everyone’s eyes were on him, he was the center of attention in every classroom, but not in this one apparently.
“So what are you going to do about it? Give me detention? Clean the boards? Pfft, whatever,” Jaejoong decided to check his nails out, the teacher was barely a threat after all, he had dealt with more than his fair share.
It wasn’t as if he didn’t see the fist flying, he just didn’t expect from a teacher. He took it as an idle threat, right until it met his face in a loud bang. His whole face turned to the side, his hands flew up to his right eye. He spat on the teacher’s otherwise clean shoes.
“What the hell are you doing?! Don’t you know it’s against the fucking law to hit students!?” he yelled, his hands still covering one side of his face. There was no doubt he would be supporting a nice black eye tomorrow. His teacher simply sneered down at him though, a twisted smile on his face.
“You honestly think anyone cares about you? The government has allowed the school to use any means necessary to discipline you strays. They’re sick of all the problems the world has because of kids like you. This school exists solely to put you in your place and make sure you go on the right path again, whether we shove you there or you walk there by yourself. I suggest you get walking.”
“What kind of fucked up government do we have! This cant be legal!” Jaejoong yelled. The students still didn’t dare to look at the scene. Their eyes concentrated on the board. Jaejoong was about ready to grab the nearest kid and make him watch, make sure he had a heartbeat and some life left in him.
“The world has given up on you. They don’t care about you guys. Everyone in this class is a reject, shunned by the world. Trust me, no one will listen to you,” the teacher’s words cut Jaejoong, but not in the way he probably desired. All it did was explode Jaejoong’s anger. He slammed his hands on the desk and stood up, staring his teacher straight in the face.
“I will not take any shit-“ but the rest of his statement was cut off when a fist connected to his left cheek. Another bruise would adorn his face tomorrow, Jae was sure.
“You will not raise your voice, or curse in this school, got that?” the teachers question had a deathly tone to it, but still Jaejoong couldn’t bring himself to back down. “Absolutely no talking unless I address you first, got that too? Now, sit your prissy ass down, I’ve wasted enough time on you.”
With that the teacher walked back to the front and started writing on the board again like nothing happened.
Jae continued to stand, seething, hands balled into tight fists. His head snapped to look at Yuhno.
That bastard hadn’t even bothered to look.
Jaejoong was the only one breathing in this room, and it drove him crazy.
He vowed to bring life back to the students, even if it killed him.

Sorry it took me so long to update such a short chapter? D=
It's still boring, I know. I had to write it, it was a lot more painful that it probably was to read it.
I SWEAR it'll get better.
And that I'll try my best to update atleast once a week. =)
