A/N: Dedicated to everybody who encouraged me to start writing again, I hope you all like it.
Love at first sight.
Deep, soulful, espresso eyes stared at him intently from impossibly long curling lashes, plump lips pursed in concentration. His heart contracted and skipped a beat before pumping furiously against his rib cage.
That one instant when you meet an absolute stranger your soul recognizes as your other half,
He carefully wiped the grease off the plastic before placing the unpretentious menu in front of the first timer. A veneer of filth had seeped into the cracks of the old dilapidated diner that no amount of scrubbing could remove, not that he had tried very hard. It had not bothered him till now. But the man’s immaculate appearance contrasted garishly against the rundown place that in all good sense should have closed down ten years ago if not earlier. The difference between them could not be starker.
The person you were destined to meet
This place was not meant for the likes of him, it was not good enough. He was not good enough. A dull pain somewhere in the vicinity of his heart confused him, he had thought he was incapable of feeling anything anymore. He bit his lips, staring at Italian loafers resting on grimy tiles but then he looked up and forgot to breathe.
Hooded eyes crinkled at the corners as the stranger’s lips curled into a mischievous grin, promising trouble.
He wiped sweaty palms at the sides of his creased uniform and moistened his lips. The man’s eyes drifted down and he blushed, skin changing color to a delicate rose. He did not realize how beautiful he looked at that very moment.
The one you crave mind and body
When he finally opened his mouth and managed to stutter out the order request, his voice came out all broken and throaty. The fact that he could speak itself seemed like a miracle. The man’s warm, silken response asking for a cup of coffee rippled through his body igniting something carnal deep inside him. He would have dropped to his knees there and then if the stranger had demanded it. He fled in panic.
Your one true love
He walked across the empty parking too miserable to notice the man waiting in the shadows until he almost bumped into him. The stranger was leaning casually against a machine that cost a lot more than all of his earthly possessions combined. The aching loneliness haunting him was forgotten at the burst of joy on seeing the man he thought he would never see again.
In the middle of the night, the radiance of his smile bathed the dark parking lot with sparkling sunshine.
“I am Yoochun,” the stranger who never really was a stranger said,
Almost in a trance he grasped the hand extended in front of him and suppressed crying out at the feeling of rightness and recognition. Fingers curled against his and tightened, it felt like a promise.
“I am Junsu” he replied. A teardrop slid from his eye unnoticed.
I never believed in love at first sight until it happened to me.
A/N ~ My hiatus stretched more that I wanted it to stretch, primarily because my real life was so fucked up that I did not have the energy or desire to write. But things are better now :)
