heh I think you are a few steps ahead of me on THE GREEN crusade..but I am getting there =)

at least you understand my obsession...I think

GUH I KNOW...less plastic
the truth is I basically

1. need a decent sized freezer
2. will have my meat raised then slaughtered
3. will store in freezer with dates to use by

then...buy TONS of veggies
learn how to do canning
or buy my own land and farm my own food

so, THOUGH those ideas are feasible...I have a brown thumb for one and after many pressure cooker explosions witnessed by me as a child..I am a bit afraid of canning
so, i can buy as fresh as possible and local as possible

which is TOUGH TO do, because sometimes I just...well don't want to think/cook and want to put some mindless frozen somewhat healthy-ish entree in the nuker and be done with it

*sigh* I could make a full time job out of being green....perhaps when Tim or I make enough $$ to tend to everything, one of us can quit our jobs and work all day at growing food and making everything from homemade scratch....though I actually LIKE that idea =) homemade bread, pasta, oooh yummo...BUTTER

Hehe as you might have guessed/read, that owning land thing is exactly what I am aiming for :-)

For now I'll work full time, but switch to part once we have something for me to work on. Pressure cookers scare the willies out of me btw!
