Hey all,
So...if you HAVEN'T heard by now, there is a referendum on the ballot this November to add an amendment to the Wisconsin Constitution to declare that only "marriages between a man and a woman" will be recognized by the State of Wisconsin.
As many of you know, this would mean if I got married in Mass. or got a Civil Union in another state (Vermont only right now), it would NOT be recognized by Wisconsin.
This would block me and my boyfriend from a LOT of rights just because we are a gay couple.
So, if you live in WI, I ask that you check out this website:
http://www.fairwisconsin.com/index.html Sign the petition and tell your friends about it! One of the reasons I moved back to WI is because it supports LGBT people in many ways. Please help to stop discrimination from being written into the WI State Constitution!
Thanks!
