Dress Code & Uniform Policy
"Dressed for Success"
Complying with the dress code means that all students must be in school uniform and obeying all applicable rules according to gender. All uniforms will be given to all students after their acceptance to Yonsei Academy. All uniforms can be found in the house you are sorted into (Located on top of your assigned bed) with your full name and year printed on the top.
The uniform policy is applicable to all students five (5) days a week: Monday - Friday, provided classes have not been canceled for any reason. Upon dismissal from lessons, however, students are free to wear what they please. Saturday and Sunday, trips to Yonsmeade, and Quidditch games are also instances where the uniform does not need to be worn.
There will be two (2) House Badge pins provided along with your uniform (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin ). Each pin is made of silver and painted to reflect each house crest. This pin must be worn at all times while school is in session. Your house is your pride; it is important for professors and your fellow students to know which one you belong to as they get to know you.
Additionally, each student will be given 2 ties of their house colors, as well as a winter accessories set (scarf, hat, gloves) of the same color scheme. Wearing of these items, excluding the tie, is optional. The house tie is a part of the school uniform, and as such, must be worn.
All uniform items will be personalized to accommodate your correct size, length, and name. Your name is personalized on either the inside tag of the item.
Unless informed otherwise, please wear capes to each lesson.
♀GIRLS DRESS POLICY:
♕All garments that are transparent, translucent, or sheer in any way must not be worn during school hours.
♕Please refrain from using magic (or other means) to alter the length of the skirts and shorts of your uniforms.
♕ The wearing of high heeled shoes is forbidden while classes are in session.
♕ All necklines visible may not go any lower than two inches (2 in) or 5.1 cm (centimeters) starting from your collarbones.
♕ No visible bra straps whatsoever.
♕ Strapless garments are not allowed during school hours.
♕ No cleavage or undergarments can be shown.
♂ BOYS DRESS CODE:
♛ All clothing (particularly pants) cannot be worn loosely or "baggy," and undergarments cannot be showing.
♛ All garments must be ironed and fresh before attending a class.
♛ All revealing shirts are not allowed during school hours (Muscle shirts, mesh shirts, etc).
♛ All shoes must be properly shined, tied, and worn.
FEMALE UNIFORM
Listed are the components that each female student is required to wear at Yonsei Academy. Each item may be mixed and matched to fit your personal style, so long as uniform policy is followed. As mentioned above, each item has been provided upon acceptance to the school.
1. Black Pleated Skirt.
2. Charcoal Grey Pleated Skirt.
3. Charcoal Grey Bloomer Shorts (Also provided in black).
4. White Button Down Shirt.
5. White Ruffled Tank Top to be worn in warmer weather (Please pair with a cardigan).
6. Long Sleeved, Button down Cardigan ( In black and grey).
7. Long Sleeved Sweater. V-Neck and Crew Neck (In black and grey).
8. Turtleneck Tunic in black.
9. Standard turtleneck top in white.
10. OTK (Over the Knee) socks in black , grey, and white. Girls may opt to wear full tights in the colors specified, but they must be purchased on their own time.
Acceptable Footwear: During school hours, girls are allowed to wear flat shoes (ballet flats) in black or grey Additionally, flat, low top sneakers can be worn. In winter, a flat boot in either black or grey may be worn, provided it does not go above the knee.
MALE UNIFORM
Listed are the components that each male student is required to wear at Yonsei Academy. Each item may be mixed and matched to fit your personal style, so long as uniform policy is followed. As mentioned above, each item has been provided upon acceptance to the school.
1. Black slim legged twill pants.
2. Grey, straight legged twill pants.
3. Knee length twill shorts in black and grey.
4. Long-sleeved, white button down shirt.
5. Short-sleeved polo shirts in black, grey, and white.
6. Turtleneck sweater in light grey.
7. Standard turtleneck top in black
8. Long Sleeved Sweater. V-Neck and Crew Neck (In black and grey).

In addition to the oxford shoe, males students have the option of wearing high top or low top sneakers, provided they fit the color scheme of the uniforms. In winter, an oxford with a heavier bottom may be worn.
