You Can't Write an Essay in a Bathrobe

Jul 26, 2010 22:58

Zhou Mi cleared his throat, clenching a fist ready to knock on Kyuhyun's dorm door. "Well, here goes nothing~" He knocked against the wood of the door, "Hello, Kyu? You there?" The man knocked a couple of times as he waited for someone to answer it. He just looked over to his side looking at Ryeowook. "Uhm- he'll be out shortly, I think?"

Kyuhyun had been withering away in bed the major part of the day, that's because he's a lazy fuck on the weekends. He couldn't even be bothered to play starcraft, but that was because of the alcohol he consumed over the weekend. And sadly he was interrupted in his lazy time by a knock on the door and someone calling his name. He dragged himself out of bed, slipped on a bathrobe before going over to the livingroom and opening the door, glaring at whoever was interrupting him. "What?" He snapped.

Seeing how Zhou Mi had been the one to knock on the door, Ryeowook decided that he should be the one to try to talk with Kyuhyun, "Well... we kind of have to start on the project with you sometime, hyung... And we figured since Zhou Mi and I already started on it together about 3 days ago, you should try to at least contribute something since it's your project too, if you don't mind..." He shuffled his feet and hoped that his hyung wouldn't mind fuck him too much later for asking him to do work on the weekend.

Yeah, I've er-If it's okay without I could run back to get the study books I got for the project...." He felt Kyuhyun's akward atmosphere cloak his own. It was a dark vibe- like he'd disturbed him again. He heaved a sigh, looking at Kyuhyun. "So- how about it?"

Kyuhyun stared at the pair in front of him and he had the strong urge to shut the door and go back to bad. He could feel a mild annoyance brew somewhere inside of him. "How about next time you call me when you start instead of knocking at my door three days later and making it seem like i don't do shit?" He really couldn't stand this.

Ryeowook just looked at his feet and muttered quietly, "You ignored me after class when I asked for your phone number..." Looking up, Ryeowook asked, "We basically got the powerpoint done, so we just need the speech along with it. So, you'll help us with that?"

Well, you aren't mute, right? And you have a brain, and legs, right?" Kyuhyun replied. "Now you're standing here, three days later while you could've done that earlier, it's Sunday, my free day." No training, no work and they expected him to do that stupid project? Being paired up with Sunny on that music project was bad enough.  "I would've gladly done it if you asked my help earlier." Yes, he was being difficult.

With Zhou Mi gone, Ryeowook felt a little insecure in his demands, and questioned why he didn't just finish it with the guy. No, he thought, he had to do this. "Well, I'm sorry, it's just it's due tomorrow and if the teacher says we're going to have to say you did something and we don't wanna lie so." Ryeowook tried to look at Kyuhyun's eye and do a little puppy face, "Pleasee, I'll make it up to you somehow."

"Did you even listen to me these last minutes or have you just been standing there, looking pretty?" Kyuhyun bit back. Even though he was already fluent at Mandarin and rarely attended actually classes, he didn't want to fail his class because of Zhou Mi and Ryeowook. "Aish!" He groaned, defeated. "Come in." He stepped away from the door and headed to his bedroom. "I'm going to change." He muttered.

Ryeowook flushed a little at Kyuhyun's indirection compliment, and stepped in, keeping his back to the wall as he waited for Kyuhyun to come back. He would have taken a seat, but he was afraid Kyuhyun would tell him off or something for not asking first. Twiddling with his fingers, he started to mentally make an outline of what their speech would sound like.

Kyuhyun didn't want to, but he quickly changed into some decent clothes. Jeans and a shirt, nothing too interesting obviously and he left his hair for what it was. He honestly couldn't be bothered about that. He then went to the bathroom, washed his face and brushed his teeth before moving back to the livingroom, surprised to find the other still standing. "Is just standing the only thing you do?" He commented.

Sighing, Ryeowook asked, "Why did you need to change when we were only going to my dorm? It's not like I'm going to check you out. And I was trying to be considerate of you because I figured you were the type of the person that got bothered when people didn't ask before taking a seat." He pouted a little, then quickly regretted his words. "I didn't mean anything by that by the way."

"Because i was wearing a bathrobe!" Kyuhyun replied. God, these people, it made him jump from a window. But he was on the first floor, so that wouldn't help anything, well he could run away, but he wasn't much of a runner, and he was sure Zhou Mi would gain on him, with legs of doom.

"My room is just 5 rooms away from yours, Kyuhyun..." Ryeowook noted, "Is there something wrong with working with me in a bathrobe? I would work with you in a bathrobe." Ryeowook started walking out and motioned for Kyuhyun to follow.

"Freak." Kyuhyun muttered under his breath as he followed the other. They should be glad he was a nerd and fluent in Mandarin, otherwise they'd probably wouldn't finish on time. He so was going to rant to Heechul after this project was finished, he was sure that someday he would snap and turn into a serial killer or something.

"I heard that," Ryeowook said, "Although I don't really care, I think you should be more grateful that Zhou Mi and I remembered you when you didn't even bother to try to check up on the project." When they arrived at his dorm, he opened it to find his roommate absent. Gah, so I'm stuck with him alone til Zhou Mi arrives.... Ryeowook thought, smiling to Kyuhyun awkwardly as he did so.

"Aw yeah, you are such heroes." Kyuhyun replied, his words dripping with sarcasm. "Just give me pen and paper." He muttered. He could write something within minutes, but he was sure that his project mates were going to remark a thousand things before they would be satisfied.

Ryeowook shot a glare at Kyuhyun while he wasn't looking, at least when he hoped when he wasn't looking, and grabbed a pen and paper he had spare by the TV. "Oh, I guess you should look at the powerpoint before you write anything, huh?" He quickly went inside his room to grab his laptop. "Mmm, here. Hope you like it, I'm sure we could use some editations though."

"If you guys asked for my help earlier you could've gotten something better than powerpoint." Kyuhyun muttered, plopping down on the couch. To him, powerpoint was probably one of the lamest things. He took the laptop from Ryeowook and got the powerpoint started and it already bored him to death. But he tried to at least pretend to be interested.

"Err, so, anything you want to fix?" Ryeowook asked, knowing full well what Kyuhyun's reply would be. He nervously played around with his fingers again and hoped that they wouldn't have to start all over just for Kyuhyun. At least, Ryeowook thuoght, he looked half-interested...

"Why did you guys bother with the computer part while i'm the IT nerd?" Kyuhyun replied, looking over to the other with raised eyebrows. "Definitely not my choice of a presentation." He shrugged. "But if you guys think this will make us pass, by all means, keep it as it is." Sure, he could make something else, but he'd probably be up till deep in the night and he wasn't really in the mood for that.

"Zhou Mi thought the little bunnies at the end made it cute..." Ryeowook whispered, "He and I are fine with it but since it's your project too, we're willling to switch formats. Anythiing you want in particular though? I could work on the essay instead and you could redo the project to that." He looked at his laptop and dismay though, because he didn't really want to work on an essay after 3 days of messing around on powerpoint with Zhou Mi when he could be off training.

"I could've made something way better in flash." Kyuhyun replied before sighing softly. "Whatever man, just take the bunnies away." He waved his hand a little, shaking his head. "I don't have the time for a presentation in flash because it took you guys three days to ask for my help."

"... You know, we're not stupid, If we were we would have just laid out the whole project for you to do," Ryeowook snapped, "We're not asking for you help, we're asking for you not to fail this project with us. Zhou Mi and I could do the essay alone if we wanted to." His face grew red, and he tried to calm himself down, because it normally took a lot to get him really angry. He just didn't like Kyuhyun's attitude though.

Kyuhyun tried his best not to laugh, because angry people were damn amusing, especially if it was his own doing. But this time he didn't do anything in particular, anyone who knew him well could confirm that. "Just calm down, man." He snorted. "I'll write this stupid essay." And he was going to use big and long words and complicated sentences.
