Also they whitewashed the cover, that's not cool. The Ashawala'i were sort of Amerindianesque. Not blond.

Yeah I was confused by that. I read it and I was like waaaaaait..... isn't Zanja like... well, I get North African/Middle Eastern-ish out of her. Coloring-wise at least. Not sure where they got this blond crap from.

She's dark-skinned and -eyed and -haired. Also the Ashawala'i grow corn and squash! (I caught that on this last reading).

It's probably because I read the book, then looked at the cover, but I did not notice. Or perhaps even though she is pale on this cover, her facial features are not particularly Caucasian.

Other than her skin color, that's a bitchin' color. She's covered in gear and not skin-revealing armor, and she's all business. But too pale.

Yeah, I did think the armor was good, at least.

It's so practical! I'm so proud of whoever designed it!

Considering the Earth logic cover? Very proud.

Right? Is Earth Logic's cover not wholly and totally accurate? Karis is all sooty hands and uncombed hair and huge! She's blacksmithing like a boss!
