Head, meet Desk

So, like I bragged and squealed girlishly about a few entries back, I've got this T.A. position that I'm all freaking out about. I brag about it to everyone now. Tact and subtlety? Please.

Looks like I'm going to have my work cut out for me, though. Techhie work. Now, I sort of know my way around the wikis that come from experience of being a student of Drake and Schacht and the like, and partially also from being raised by my tech-savvy dad in the late 90's/early 2000's.

I don't know why it's me. There were actual CIT department kids in that class, and one was in my group (though damned if I know why she didn't step up until a week and a half before the project was due). Maybe I'm just really good at troubleshooting.

That project last semester? Freaking INTENSE. I was working my way through applications I had never used before or since. I fooled around with a pbwiki, worked in Zamzar until we realized the quality was terrible, figured out Handbrake, messed with Youtube and in general fought my DVD to pieces. And now I get to do it all over again for a bunch of younger kids.

Well, nobody said it'd be easy.

So Prof. Walker invited me to go to this wiki presentation given to some of the faculty. Little nervous about being the only student there, but hey, at least I'll know someone and I'll have a clear reason for being there, right?

Well, fifteen minutes before the presentation, Prof. Walker e-mails me saying she can't make it. Which is why I just spent an hour and a half in a room full of Physics and Engineering professors who wanted to know the difference between LaTeX and HTML.

Test in an hour in Archaeology, spazztastic. My alarm broke and I missed my morning class, again. I think this is like the sixth time. Sucks, man. I need to get it repaired.

All in all, pretty normal, stressful day. But stress is what gets me up, so it's become sort of an annoying twin these last couple of months.

I want to kill it!
