I was halfway through a long post and then Firefox froze and my browser basically ate my post. Argh!!

That almost happened to me a moment ago- one thing I've learned (because I am stubborn and won't save before updating) is that if I don't get a new screen in about 5 seconds, I hit "stop," then "back." I swear it's LJ, and not Firefox.

Sorry you lost your post, though. That is the WORST!
