K & I both need a break :/. My niece came last weekend to help out since K was away at a work related conference. We're hoping to have her come up a lot over the next month or so befroe she starts her summer job. I'm sure at some point we can leave him with her for a while so we can have a date. What a thought!

I have been dying to wean since he turned one. Well, before that, but making it to at least one was the goal. I've been doing my best to do the "don't offer, don't refuse" thing, but he is still napping with me and nurses a lot then, and he spends part of the night with me, so it's an open bar! And he LOVES IT. I've got to be more definite/pro-active at getting him off the boob because I can't wait for this to be over, but on the other hand I've been dragging my feet cause I know he will NOT be happy about it.

I let ppl know the truth to make them feel uncomfortable. They aren't expecting to hear about infertility and shit, so I figure that'll teach their nosy asses!

No cure for family trouble, that's for sure. Still, when your irresponsible older sister who's fleeced your folks out of thousands she "borrowed" calls you for $300 to pay for her son's high school ring when you've told her repeatedly not to call for money....hard not to have hands itchy with the desire to throttle!

Wait. Your older sister calls you for the one thing you specifically tell her not to call you for, knowing full well you ain't in the mood to hear it?

Yeah, it's time to warm up the slappin' hand.

She's shameless. She wasn't just asking for it, she was practically demanding it. She has such a dreadful track record for paying back money, that she still crows about how she paid us back the one and only time we loaned her money (which was about a month and a half after K and I got married, I wanted to beat her); cause you know, it was a big deal actually doing what she was supposed to do!. We lent her that money as a ONE TIME deal, and told her so. I've told her NO other times she's asked, or outright ignored her. Yet she really expected us to pony up $300 for a useless and frivolous class ring that will either be lost or chilling out in a drawer somewhere within the next 2 years. Um, NOOOOOO!

I can't stand her ass.
