Well, I want to thank you guys for the outpouring of (admittedly fished for, haha) good wishes when I posted about joining Weight Watchers. Yesterday was my 2nd meeting and my official weigh-in has me down 3.2 pounds in 1 week. Not bad! The first week wasn't nearly so difficult as thought it might be and that's very good. Glad the Weight Watchers thing is working out for you. Now about exercise...Hubby finally forced me to join a gym this summer so I can give you some advice.

1] Change your clothes and go to the gym as soon as you walk in the door after coming home from work. If you stop to do anything else you will find things to do until - oh look! - it's too late to go.

2] Don't try to do too much at first. You might think you're being good about pushing yourself but what will actually happen is you will hurt yourself and not be able to go back to the gym for weeks.

3] Load up your MP3 player with the fastest music you own to keep you pumped up at the gym. Don't own one? You can get a cheap one for $50 and it's worth it. Gold's Gym even GIVES you one when you sign up.

4] If you don't go for a while you can still go back - don't give up after your first hiatus because they're going to happen. I didn't go for 6 whole weeks when I had whooping cough but I did eventually go back. Oh, and don't forget that after 6 weeks you have to start at the beginning again or you will hurt yourself - again.
