home again...jiggety jog...
stories to tell....and so it goes.. i am not sure about the rest of the family of artist..but as the saying goes..man plans and God laughs.
i tend to depend on a certain amount of income from my art shows and haven't learned yet that is an impossible dream.you would think that at the ripe old age of 51 and scads of art shows under my belt, i would NOT plan! but ,no the hard -headed independent, IN CONTROL.woman that i think i am,continues to not listen to the gentle promptings of my Savior.
heck..i even wear a ring everyday that reads "have faith"! LISTEN!!! stop talking and LISTEN!!! our Lord wants us to succeed..just play the game by His rules!
ok..off the box...my art show in fort wayne didn't go well the first day..so the self doubt,sad face,closed ears susan emerged..some day i will paint her. on sunday i talked to a fiber artist who was from fort wayne and confirmed that the show was not well attended by the "buying crowd'..ok..it's not me...gee, now i can feel better...funny how when you can get rid of the blame in any lame way you feel so much better about yourself! ego is such a strange animal!
she told me as i left her that an angel would visit me later...well...she did! there were several angels and the day was saved!FAITH! HAVE FAITH!!!
God has to hit me with a 2x4 to get my attention i tell you! he gives us gifts and we take them for granted or we waste them! so today i am going to pray for the strength to have FAITH and LISTEN more closely to those gently spoken words.i suggest we all do the same..God bless and remember God loves you and so do i.....
