Sometimes it's so incredibly unbelievable that I'm here, in existence and in Japan. And stuff.
It's like "whooooooooa, dude, I'm like, in Japan."
If you know what I mean(?) This shit's crazy.

We had an a speaker come to school today to tell us about her son who died of cancer when he was like 9 years old. Or at least I think that's what it was about. Sometimes it's hard to tell. It was sad.
The title of the presentation was "If you try hard, you can become happy!" which I guess is somewhere along the lines of "We can make it if we try!" (♥ Lavirne and Shirley) (In Japanese がんばれば、幸せになれるよ!). I thought it an unfit title for a story in which the main character keeps up hope for four years, all the while really sick from the chemo he's taking for the cancer which makes his legs useless and then eventually kills him.
But that's just me.

Life's a bitch/beautiful.

P.S. My host mother bought me a Burberry skirt yesterday for some outrageously large sum of money. I'm going to wear it with my new ten-dollar Fryesque boots.

P.P.S. I bought a mobile phone cleaner inscribed with the words "Let's go mush (sic) rooming!" for 420 yen. But I don't have a phone.
