Biggest Sale of Them All

The weekend is over and it is already time for yet another week of school. I had full intentions on going to every class, that is until I saw Meghan, a girl that lives on the same hall as me carrying around her biology book. It was a quick reminder of a huge biology test I have this coming Tuesday. Six chapters packed into one test. Fun, ne? The first biology test I took...I failed: 46%. Second one, I reformed the way I studied and I got 100%. I need to keep pulling out those hundreds to give me a decent grade in that class. I've missed way too many labs.

The point of the biology test is that now I am stuck not going to class on Monday so I can spend the entire day cramming. I'm confident that if I dedicate my time to cramming, I will ace the test. Problem is, I'm missing Math (I need to go in and schedule a retake of the test I missed last week), Japanese (missed a whole week of a language class...not good), and Politics (again, I need to go in and schedule a retake). Looks like this will all be pushed back to Wednesday instead. I also have a 5-page paper that was due last week that I need to work on. Looks like I'll be skipping that class on this Tuesday. Sacrifices must be made in order to catch up decently. I refuse to half-ass my way through and slaughter my GPA (even more than is has already suffered this semester).

Back to my weekend. This was one of the rare weekends where I didn't go home. Once again, it's a weekend where everyone else on dorm does go home. The halls were eerily quiet. All three days, I worked. Saturday was the 'Biggest Sale of Them All' at JCPenney, a sale comparable to Black Friday. As expected, my shift was a long one. Then, I did the unimaginable. I offered to fill in for a girl that went home sick. My shift started at 11am and ended at midnight. It sucked: I was tired, sore, and for the first time, sick of doing projects. I was also annoyed that me and Ellyn were the only two associates out of MANY that weren't sitting on the beds in the home department (even the manager was doing so....)

My Sunday shift was a lot more bareable, though there were some irritating customers. For starters, a lady approached me and asked me how much she could get for a pair of pants that she was holding. They were clearly marked $16.99 on clearance. I explained that was the final mark down...and she proceeded to try to haggle the price. This is not a garage sale, sorry! Another incident came from an infamous regular at the Bloomington store. The lady likes to rip off the part on her receipt that shows how she paid for the item she is returning. She then requests cash. The moment the associate begins to page a manager (because returns at JCP are given back in the ORIGINAL way they were paid for or store credit, so if we can't tell how you paid, we call a manager to either look up the receipt if possible on the computer or to deny the return altogether), the lady becomes irrate, screaming some demeaning things to the associate. I wasn't the one that had to deal with this lady, but I did witness her screaming profanities. Apparently, this same lady has been in numerous times trying the same thing, and she has even thrown clothes at the manager's face! I hate people, I really do...

In between study today, I photoshopped a Kabuto pic. The image features Kabuto in the space on the right of the picture, and some nice forestry things fill in the left side. It seemed a little to heavy on the right, so I added a Naruto logo to the left. I got both versions (one with and one without the logo), and I can't decide which one I like better, so I'm going to wait to upload them on Deviant. By the way, I am always so excited when I see that someone has commented or favorited a picture. Makes my esteem go up, so to speak.

I'm done studying for tonight, and I think I'm gonna head off to bed. I need to train myself into going to be earlier again. 4am bed time just won't work with school. I have a lot to do tomorrow before work, and I want an early start on it. Good night.
