HANAMI 2012 ♥

Apr 21, 2012 00:50

On 15 April I went to the Hanami Matsuri (cherry blossom festival) in Bad Langensalza with some Japanese and German friends. Actually the weather wasn’t the best. It was cold and for sure there weren’t many cherry blossoms visible. We were 14 people - three German and eleven Japanese students. I also met some other friends there.

There was a taigo performance and Meike and I were standing in the first row. The sound is really amazing.

As last year they showed how to dress up in Kimono and samurai armaments. This year they had a really beautiful red kimono. I really would like to have one like this. And they had really wonderful obis!

Then we made our little picnic and everyone was watching and taking photos of us. Did we look so special? XD Especially the Japanese students were much requested, because many people talked to them and asked them some questions.

The day before I was standing in the kitchen for some hours and tried to cook some Japanese food. Anyway it was much fun. I ended up with a lot of Manju and Daifuku. And I made heart-shaped Tamagoyaki - I really love sweet egg ♥ Meike made some really delicious choco muffins and Eri made the chicken-thing I really love. I need to learn how to do it!

We wanted to watch the samurai fighting performance, but unfortunately there were so many people standing there that we couldn’t see it…

Some of the girls started freezing, so we decided to go inside the little house later and go home some hours earlier. But first we took some photos. Sadly we just realized later that Mai-chan was missing at the group-photo… Meike made a little photo shooting with me. I took of my jacket for this time and then I was really cold.

Inside the little house some of the girls drank some Japanese drinks and we all talked for a while. Then we went back to the train station.  I was surprised that the trains were really crowded…

All in all, it was a really nice day and I had a lot of fun with my friends.

Thank you everyone! ありがとうございます! ♥
