After having your first job in the food industry you start to realize how dumb the majority of people are. Which isn't bad really, I think it's hilarious! I love working with people, even if they can't tell the difference between "closed" and "open". Even if they argue with you that what they ordered shouldn't be that expensive (HELLO UR AT TCBYS), even if they change their mind at the last minute, "Oh no, I didn't want that, I asked for a SHIVER WITH RECEES PIECES NOT CUPS.." You picky old bag, you said CUPS not pieces!! Do you realize how much ice cream I have to WASTE to remake this!? (What's funny is when you throw away the order you messed up to give them the new one, they bitch about how you should have given the order that you MESSED up to them AS WELL as the new one you make for them.) Really though, I do enjoy working with people. Seriously, working at TCBY isn't bad at all. I mean... It's ice cream! You are surrounded by treats! By sweet smelling colorful happy things! There is nothing more joyful than handing a small cup of rainbow cream yogurt to a smiling little kid, especially when you know that all they are going to do is smear it all over the floors and tables and somehow, SOMEHOW, even getting it ON THE BACK OF THEIR SEATS. *grabs the mops and beats the kid with it, and then their parents*
Good thing I find humor in all of these things. Hehe. Because for every crappy customer, there is a great one, and I do love having a job at this store. The main problem though isn't the sucky customers, it's the availability of free ice cream. (Oh yeah, I forgot... YOGURT. Its YOGURT not ice cream.) I swear to god, I was totally cute and trim before I got this job. Well, I am still cute... Just chunky and cute. Like I was saying though, it's so hard to resist the ice cream there. It's so easy to just... pop cookie dough in your mouth, just like that. Or grab a sample of the soft served ice cream every time you walk by. It's especially hard to resist when your indecisive customers decide to randomly NOT WANT what you just made them. You cant just throw it away! YOU EAT IT! And what about the remaining smoothie in the blenders!? EAT IT! I JUST CAN'T RESIST AND I DONT KNOW HOW! AISU KURIMU DAISUKI~
There is so much that I could write about my first job. Other than stupid customers, wretched little younglings, failing willpower, I could write about my boss, my co-workers, ect... But really I don't feel like it. I will later.
