(no subject)
Holy carp. LOTR was just amazing. Loved every single second of it. *sigh* It is however VERY sad that now there are no more movies but I already can't wait for the extended version of the DVD :) I know that one scene that we will probably get to see is the one where Wormtongue kills Saruman and I can't wait to see that!!!! It was actually kindof odd that it wasn't in the film (especially since if you're already sitting for over 3 hours what would 5 more minutes be? your ass is probably already asleep!) but I don't doubt Peter Jackson's decision at all. His cameo was actually really cute. I just adore him. He's so amazing. The entire team of people that put LOTR together is fucking amazing. So amazing that we didn't leave until the very end of all the credits. After having come on this journey with them I felt we owed it to all those names being listed to watch them. As I said to Becca last night - if this doesn't win best picture and best director I will PERSONALLY go from house to house and kick every academy memebers ASS until they have puss coming out of their butts!!!!!!!!
Favorite moments:
* Seeing "Return of the King" come across the screen
* Legolas's first entrance. Damn he's pretty.
* Shelob
* Absolutely everything about Samwise!!! Sean's performance in this movie was just OUTSTANDING!!!!!! He should get Best Supporting Actor for that, no question. And it reminded me that GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
* Gimli's line that was something like "Small chance of sucess and great chance of death? What are we waiting for?" (if you remember the exact quote please correct me - I want to hang that up in my office) :)
* Legolas taking down the oliphaunt all by himself. That fuckin' rocked.
* The boats coming into the harbor and then Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli jumping out to be followed by the cursed men.
* Pippin's song. Damn! Billy Boyd can SING!!!!
* Eowyn and Merry killing the wraith. "I AM NO MAN" was just the best.
* Eomer killing the oliphaunt driver with his spear. Damn Karl Urban is hot!
* The reunion of the fellowship.
* Sam and Rosie's wedding (which was when I COMPLETELY LOST IT and didn't get it back until the credits).
* Aragorn devouring Arwen in that kiss. Me-ow.
* Everyone kneeling to the Hobbits. V. cool scene.
* Seeing Bilbo.
* Seeing Sam with his family. SO SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So today we have our office staff holiday luncheon which should be fun and then I have a voice lesson. After work I have a board meeting for Majestic and then rehearsal. So I can't WAIT for 9pm tonight so I can just go home and veg. Tomorrow night is the Amex Christmas party which should be fun. I'm supposed to sing but don't really know how/if that's gonna work. I'll bring my stuff to be prepared just in case but if it doesn't happen I'm okay with that too.
Saturday Becca and I are doing "return day" and bringing stuff back that we bought last week (well, I'm not actually returning anything - I just have to get a refund since I have a gift certificate to use at Lane Bryant that I forgot about). Then Saturday night is Matt's dinner party so I have to look SPECTACULAR for that. Yeah, good fucking luck on that one!! :-p
So now I have to go buy a milk to drink with my pop tarts and then come back to my desk and make appointments for Bob to have in the first few weeks of 2004. Yay!
