I have been a part of the local Camarilla since September 2006. In that time, I have observed the steady, inexorable decline of membership. Simply uttering the word "Camarilla" is enough to convince the vast majority of local gamers to stay home or find something else to do.
When you really look at it, it's easy to see why.

. Do you remember the first game we had? We had like...20 or 25 people. Eric, Woody, Poetics, Noel, Jenn, Andrew, Bryce, Dave, and Adriann are among the names of people who participated in those opening games. A month later, it was about 15, and for lots of various reasons. It's been slowly dying since. This may be the end of the Cam requiem game, but it's not right to suggest taking the Domain away from the Cam in a private discussion.
Gaming is sacred. Fun is sacred. I don't care about the Cam. I jumped on this bandwagon before any of you, I'll point out, in that I gave up on the lists and the e-mailing a long time ago. What I care about is the Game, in a very broad sense, even if I'm not playing in it. I haven't once in this argument said "The Cam is good for us." That's not, and has never been, my point. My point has always been that you should not use an open forum to discuss and rally people around the idea of seceding a game from the Cam without including everyone who cares in that discussion.
