I have been a part of the local Camarilla since September 2006. In that time, I have observed the steady, inexorable decline of membership. Simply uttering the word "Camarilla" is enough to convince the vast majority of local gamers to stay home or find something else to do.
When you really look at it, it's easy to see why.

I can think of 3 members of the domain who attend games regularly and are still interested in participating in the Global setting. Three more who visit regularly.
How many gamers are out there who don't play Requiem at all because the only games are Cam games? With the recent exception of Hunter Fridays, Cam games have monopolized every Friday and Saturday evening. To run an non-Cam game opposite those games has been looked down upon in the past as rude.
So who benefits from our continued affiliation with the Cam? Who suffers?
So maybe we shouldn't shut down the Domain. After all, I'm not a member anymore, so I have no real say. However, I'm not going to stand by and watch anymore as four people monopolize every Saturday evening while at least a dozen gamers stay home.

Just to clarify, I have changed my position. I don't think any longer that the local Cam should be destroyed, only that there should be alternatives available on Saturday nights.

My suggestion is to take what nights are currently availible for cam requiem split them up, allowing for nights to have the cam requiem game and the other be a troupe game so that would give either option 1-2 nights a month to play.
