Hai! I'm back! With also a brand new and refreshing and energizing and super girly layout especially credited to the awesome
writing_light .
Alhamdulillah! It had been incredible weeks, I honestly wish I could update more often but it's just not always possible. Sometimes I stare at the screen and I can't type a word. I like leaving comments here and there though.
Here's a summary of the activities:
April 15 - Visiting all the shops that cater to gadgets and accessories for PC. It was a dizzy experience for me though because we had to run from one place to another and squeeze ourselves in crowds. Canvassing prices and taking notes plus translating Duston's questions to the vendors and vise versa. whew!
April 16 - Meet~up with Chris at Greenhills shopping center to hunt for the ultimate cell phone since Duston also needs a cellphone quite badly. He got a very dependable second~hand NOKIA cellphone. It's so cool. It has a flashlight and a very strong signal. woohoo!!! But finding this phone wasn't easy because the place is huge and has almost every model and brand of cellphone you can imagine. Just when you thought that was it...we had to hurry to Gilmore via LRT (light rail transit) to get much~needed RAM upgrade and flat panel monitor. FINALLY!! ALHAMDULILLAH!!! WE HAS THEM!!! A 1-GB RAM upgrade and flat panel monitor. so awesome. no more waves. no more eye strain. waaaiii!! We arrived home late in the evening but very much accomplished and happy.
RAM upgrade is love. Flat panel monitor is a lickable thing.
April 17 - We had the two of the converts on the "Women in Islam" program. These new sisters in Islam are one of those who were featured on our islamradioph channel
"Four Filipinos Embrace Islam - March 30, 2008". You can check out the video of this program episode
HERE April 18 - Recorded inserts for the Islamic radio drama program for airing for May 2, 2008, insha Allah. Also did advanced recording for Women in Islam. My mom and I might be leaving for ZC to pick up the kiddies. waaah! I miss them! Recording in advance for a radio program is a very efficient experience although different at the same time because I'm so used to speaking on air without having cuts but you can have cuts in a recording studio. hehe! I got dizzy afterwards because I always have a tendency to be very passionate with what I am talking about on air and the issues I tackle.
The recording studio however is another story though. It's just SO STUFFY and dusty. The technician manning the place isn't doing a good job keeping the place spanky clean. I sincerely don't want to go back there again. Good thing we only stayed there for two hours. One hour to record for WII and another hour for the inserts. Just when you think it's over....
Gyaaaah!!! Can I say I hate traveling to Manila from where I live? Yesh. I don't. UNLESS I go via LRT. LRT 2 rocks yo! Because traveling via jeepneys is soooooooooooo suffocating. The traffic is bad. The pollution is terrible. The air is so dense with carbon monoxide, smoke, noise, dust and....unhealthy stuff. I could taste the dust in my mouth. I swear.
After the studio, we all decided to drop by MAKRO because they advertised they were having a midnight sale and off we went. Well, we did get some stuffs there but the merchandise they had there was just so....BLAH. I cannot believe they don't even have the brand of peanut butter we love or the girly feminine stuffies I need. ARGH!! I'm telling the hubby we're not coming back here anymore...unless we need to. But shopping experience in MAKRO is not inspiring. Marikina public market still rocks yo!
April 20 - No Sunday gathering for this day in Antipolo with our Muslim friends because our host had an appointment and thus her home is closed for the day. But it was timely anyway since we were just really exhausted with all the activities we've been attending to.
April 21 - Errands day for us. We went to Yellow Cab for a cheese and beef pizza. Yum! So filling. Yellow Cab Pizza is a friend.
But this also marks a special day because Duston gave me an advanced anniversary gift of not just one but TWO of my dream albums. Orange and Lemons' "Moonlane Gardens" and Kenyo's "Radio Surfing". EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! As I was getting the CDs to be tested before we purchased it, the salesclerk who assisted me was also an Orange and Lemons fangurl. We were raving and ranting at the same time over how awesome the band is and why the #$%^&*@! did they BREAK UP???
Hehehe!!! I am now a happy fangurl. Love you, Mcoy! Love you Clem! Mabuhay pa rin kayo.
I'm going to make a special post on ONL one of these days when I get the time. haha!!! abangan nyo yan. fangurl mode on...ish back.
We arrived home so exhausted yet accomplished. I gave Duston a nice warmy foot massage.
April 22 - Laundry day. All by myself. Three loads of clothes. Also had a mini accident while putting them out to dry but I struggled to finish the task. Duston had been really busy with his list of jobs he needed to do on the PC.
It's also this day we find out that I cannot handle Oishii Wasabi~flavored potato chips. Never thought I'd actually say no to potato chips. Well it has happened but Duston was able to handle it though. Amazing. Good thing, we had cheese flavored potato chips which I consumed instead.
We enjoyed Nestle's POPS (chocolate-covered vanilla ice cream shaped like large Hershey's kisses). It is a friend. It's very comforting and feeds an ice cream craving.
I was pampered with a soothing foot and hand massage from him. He's just the best. I love him.
April 23 - Brainstorming over the radio programs. I also learned that drinking coffee late in the evening is un~repeatable. My heart was racing as I snuggled to bed and ended up staying fully awake and tossing from every activity or the slightest noise from out of our home. Gyaah!
April 24 - Later this evening at 8pm, we will be having guests for interview in our radio program. It's going to be a good day for all, insha Allah.
I know I should have been asleep a long time ago but I'm still so hyped. I need to finish my stuffs. Sleep please come and poke me...please.
