It's random time
The weather has been incredibly hot. What do you expect it's summer? As some people are off to enjoy the beach, I am still wondering if I could actually go this year. I really am looking forward to wiggle my toes in sand and soak myself in the water. I wanna get a proper one-piece bathing suit to commemorate this moment and maybe some cycling shorts to go with it. You are probably wondering why I would seem open to wear this kind of outfit in public. Well, the outing hopefully will be only a private affair. Hehehe!
But I shouldn't get ahead of myself again. Been hoping for something like this to happen every year and every year something always comes up and I can't make it.
Saturday was shopping day. We got to shop Shamsa's toys now that she's a year old. But of course, it's no splurge. We got her a big drum, a plastic stacker toy and a shape sorter toy with a hammer. Oh and also a basketball hoop and a basketball. We tried showing her plushies and stuffed toys but none of them interest her. I wonder if she will always be like this. I mean if there is one stuffed toy that she would have shown some interest that time we went shopping, we'd get it. But no. She didn't want to have anything to do with stuffed toys.
I wonder if it's just the age thing. Maybe when she gets a little bit older, she might find some interest. So far she's fine poking the Doraemon pillow at home.
I'm also in the process of applying for a home-based job. The money I can get from it would help in our expenses as well as keep my mind busy while the baby does not need my attention. I hope everything works out and I can start as soon as possible. I'm quite excited to be working again.
I was able to sell some of my Japanese fandom items from our online shop fandorasbox.multiply.com There have been inquiries regarding other items I am selling so I am very excited and hopefully all of the stuffs I've posted there will be sold out eventually. YAY!
Hey, it was the Royal Wedding last Friday. Would you believe I still haven't bothered looking at the wedding pictures? Well, except for the hats worn by the people that day. I love hats. Hats! Hats! Hats! If money was not a question, I would love to have a collection. I like quirky hats that would go well with my hijab. Something like this for example. Awesome, huh? I know I can pull off this look very easily.

Oh and this just came in Osama bin Laden...DEAD! Wow. Who would have thought, huh? The hubby was telling me about this and my initial reaction was is this some kind of prank...again? Is this some kind of joke? I've been reading about Bin Laden dead for years only to read that he's alive and kicking in some unknown location in some cave and he's changed his appearance. And now he is? Hmmmm...
I should be more vocal about this but I'm not. I don't want to pay this man too much attention after all the things he's caused for a lot of innocent people in the world.
I've also been keeping somewhat of an active presence in a fandom forum I am currently a member of. The members there are fun and friendly and the rules are easy. I am able to share some of my literary works and so far they have been very well received. I've earned some good friends who are ever so curious as to my real identity. LOL. I like being mysterious. It's more fun that way.
Oooooh, food! We had Angel's Pizza formerly Domino's Pizza last Friday and it was really good. Two very large cheeseburger pizza and a vegetarian one. These babies lasted us all three meals. It was that awesome. We haven't indulged in pizza for maybe more than 3 months. So we thought we deserved something this time. Hehehehe!
Next time I wanna try Papa John's Pizza.
Ice cream! Ice cream is such a friend and lover in hot summer days. We had Selecta Hershey's collection which is the ice cream version of Hershey's Kisses. This flavor is evil, I tell you. It has generous amounts of good stuffs in it. Chocolate chips, chocolate swirlies and chocolate cookies. It's a blend of chocolate ice cream and white chocolate. It's SO GOOD! I can eat this always.
You know despite the hot weather outside, strangely I am not itching to get a haircut. My hair is a lot longer now and I like to keep it this way. Normally, I would be daydreaming of walking into a salon and get my hair chopped off but no, not this time. I like the way my hair is now. I even like it resting on my shoulder.
Hmmm...well you look at that. Looks like a new business is being put up at the store right across us. It used to be a clothes shop that was crazy noisy. It seems to be an internet shop this time. I don't know. I just hope they won't play loud irritating music to attract customers like the last one did which was absolutely stupid and unnecessary.
I still hope we can move to a better location in the near future. We've already been living here for a year. But things like that have to wait till we can be very sure that our finances will be able to cover it, inshaAllah.
There is always hope. There is always something good to look forward to as long as we can be patient and happy about it.
Okay, I need to go back for another slice of carrot cake and cheese.
