My husband has put me on the hot seat this time

Feb 06, 2009 14:58

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me!"
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your blog or journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on...

This one's from my husband hushdawg

1) Now that you are getting more adventurous in the kitchen, what is something you'd like to cook or an ingredient you'd like to use that is out of our current budget?

2) If you could gather a collection of people who have already died and listen to them interact and have a conversation, who would they be and why?

3) If GMA dropped dead tomorrow, who would you like to see take her place and why?

4) Let's say that you and I are going to have a vacation in the USA for only three days but we have unlimited funds, where would you like to go and why?

5) Are there any members of your family that you regret saying or not saying something to other than your father?

1)   I would really like to cook all those native desserts I used to enjoy while growing up in Zamboanga.  They are not common here in Manila and may only see them rarely in Muslim communities around here but they still won't get it right. They look way too commercialized already. The ones in Zamboanga are still made using the right ingredients and with lots of love and authenticity. You will find them here http://profiles.friendster.com/tabanghulah at the Tausug Food Delicacies album. I have very fond memories of these foods and I have already eaten most if not all of them. I like you to experience the foodie love too.

2)  I would really love to see my paternal and maternal grandfathers interact and what stories they would have shared and the amazing lessons I would be able to pick up from them. My paternal grandmother who always had so many experiences of the olden days, her stories of old relatives, her ancestry and her super duper recipes. No one can make bauluh like she can. It's so sad no one could duplicate the way she cooks those native delicacies, not even her daughters.  I'd really love to watch and listen to my grandfather talk to Ahmed Deedat because he really admired the man and they would exchange ideas about Islam. That would have been really really engaging.

3)  At this point in time, the only most likely candidate I'd like to see in that seat would be Senator Chiz Escudero. I've followed his campaign and even during those times he was still in the House of Representatives. His views really impressed me and the way he carried himself and him speaking in Filipino than all those political posers out there. You know who you, you POSERS!!! Chiz is also new blood. This country has enough of all those old people running the government like its their private nursing home playground. Enough of the senior citizens dishing out laws on how THEY should run this country and how WE should follow them. Enough with the TRA-PO (traditional politicians) who are still stuck in their time warps of their glory days...if they ever had one. I am very disillusioned as to how the governement runs this country and its citizens but Chiz stands out in my list I'd like to see more of. I want someone who looks more like an older brother to me...enough already with the crazy geezers running around and holding on to their government seats like fossils. Go get a permanent vacation!!! demmit! QUIT ALREADY!

4)  Oh wow. That's hard for me to decide because I do not really know for sure where one would be able to experience the USA to the fullest in 3 days only. Hehe! But since money is not an issue then perhaps we could go to a private beach with all the amenities of a five-star hotel together with your dad, your mom, your sister, and your cousin Janis and all the other members of your family you want to hang out with and you'd like to introduce me to. It will be a seriously fun-filled family 3-day all expense paid super relaxing vacation no one will ever forget. That's how I like it. You pick the place and the state we could have that done.

5) There are two uncles, his brothers. A distant relative of his, that woman who took care of me when I was little. I still have to deal with issues I have with these individuals. You will still be meeting most likely two of the three mentioned here. I can only manage to be civil when that happens. The other uncle is not living in Zamboanga anymore as I've heard. Oh well.
