I had an odd conversation last night.

I'm also kinda in a writing rut. My stories tend to all be.. the same. XD Although the one I mentioned recently, the one with Anna and the moth, I am making sure the guy is the dominant character. Yes! A dominant male in a story I'm writing! This would be less shocking if it were anyone but me I guess. XD I tend to write about... dominant females. Besides this one, the only other exception is the boyxboy one I've been working on... so um, there's no main characters that are women.
I guess I haven't mentioned that one in my LJ yet! It was when I realized that I wrote exclusively hetero original fiction and slash/yaoi fanfiction. So I decided to write some original slash fiction. X3 It's fantasy, of course... what else? Basically, it's about a race of people called the Manku.
The Mankus were a different race of human. They held great magic within, and those who could unlock and control it could be very powerful indeed. The rest of the humans did not like the Mankus- they were different, dangerous. Anyone found to bear the mark of the species was imprisoned or killed.
(The mark is little grey design along the collarbone.) The story is about two Manku who are just trying to survive. It's kind of sad and emo at first, because the younger one especially hates that he's being hunted down for something he can't help. They just want to show people that they're not dangerous. So, so far that's what it's about... they want to change society so they can be accepted.
Okay... that's about it.
Oh yeah, last night I dreamt I went shopping with Gaby from Desperate Housewives. XD Good times!
