Once again I ask of you...what the fuck?? I honestly can't believe this is serious.
My hometown, middle-of-nowheres ville, Pennsylvania (or Pennsyltucky as some dumbasses call it).
I mean, I'm a steelers fan...sure, not as hardcore as most people from the area, but I'll be rooting for them next week in the superbowl. But COME ON...why do something as lame as temporarily change the name of a town for something that will be over in about a week? Honestly, I'm figuring this is how it went down...
CONVO IN MAYOR'S OFFICE
MAYOR: "So...um...Steelers going to the superbowl this year? You know what this means, right?
MAYOR'S AIDE: "You knows it."
BOTH: "An excuse to change this town's name!!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLZ we r soooo kewl."
M: "Now everyone can call this place STEELPA instead of WASHPA, thats neat!"
MA: "You are the best.mayor.ever."

Honestly, I'm ashamed of this whole thing. I am never, ever calling that place Steeler. I think its the lamest thing i've heard in a while, and this is coming from the person who watches shows like NEXT, Roseanne, and Full House like it's my job.
I know it's just a big joke, and most people out there are probably saying, "dude...its just a joke, calm down." But ahh well, I'm not really laughing...or mad...or even that upset or emotionally involved with this.
