"I have passed into the halls of Mahal," Thorin groaned like the big drama queen he was.

Then there was a pause.

"What is Gatorade?"

"You're fine." Blue was guessing the halls of Mahal were like dwarf hell. "It's a drink for athletes. It'll make you feel less dead." Or at least, it made Orla feel less dead, and she was hoping it worked on dwarves. "My cousin isn't entirely convinced I'm not the one with the hangover, by the way, but she says you should eat eggs."

"Your sister sounds like mine," Thorin muttered, dragging himself out of his bed to peer around the curtain that was in no way too fancy.

Blue was pretty sure there were semiprecious stones on the curtain, Thorin.

"Not sister," Blue corrected. "Cousin." She wasn't claiming Orla any more than she had to. They were probably not related by blood, either, but Blue didn't think that part mattered too much. She dug through the bags she'd dumped on her bed until she found the Gatorade. "I hope you like purple flavor, because that's all they had."

Again, that was just normal decoration. God, Blue.

"Why is it colored that way?" He didn't approve! He didn't approve at all!

"Because of reasons," Blue said matter-of-factly. "Important fixing hangover reasons."

Thorin's expression said he didn't buy that one bit. But she hadn't murdered him in his sleep earlier, so he would accept it.

For now.

"My thanks."

Don't think she hadn't considered it when your drunk ass rolled in, Thorin. Some people liked to sleep.

"So, was it worth it?" She did not understand boys.

In no way was it worth it.

"Yes," Thorin replied anyway, making a face at the odd taste of the Gatorade. "I could not allow Kenway to outdrink a dwarf."

"It's important." So was having the ability to move. "And I was to try nachos as well."

"It ended up covered in rum if I recall correctly."

So.

What a waste. "Yeah, probably for the best then," she agreed.

"I think I would prefer them without the rum." Just as an FYI. "Much less rum," he added, closing his eyes and resting the empty bottle against his forehead.

What did he think he was, a squirrel? "You should probably also avoid tequila, then." Blue had heard things.
