Look what I found!
So I've been invited to my former homestay's son's birthday party. He's turning fourteen.
The thing is, presents were easy to come by when he was a young boy... but at fourteen... gosh, what is one meant to get a fourteen year old boy?
Anyway, that's not the point. The point is, I looked EVERYWHERE, clothes stores, department stores, toy stores, and book stores... and in the process, I found THIS:
fjksfjskldjfljfkljkfljg!! ZOMG... SOMETHING DR HORRIBLE RELATED... IN AUSTRALIA?!
So of course, logically, I had to fork out the $13 and buy it! My first ever graphic novel... really... SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE NEIL? YOU MADE ME BUY A GRAPHIC NOVEL FOR GOSH SAKES!
But it's really cool! The backstories for all the characters are wonderful, and I especially love love love Dr. Horrible's own back story (and the Billy Buddy/Dr Horrible faces are awesomely spot on!), and then there's stories of how he met Moist, and Penny and Captain Hammer and everything.. gah! XD
You know what the funny thing is though...
I didn't even end up finding the right present for the birthday boy... XD!
