Maybe the wildfires are a simile, like how i'm wandering around in the smoke of my dreams burning all around me.

But really, the haze has got me in a strangely optimistic mood. Like it's the end of the world and it's not so bad after all.

Weird, I thought the exact same thing when I was on the bus. "The state is on fire, and we're all just trying to carry on like it's no biggie."

I kind of like the smokey smell in the air.
