the job fair

was a bust. There were maybe 5 tables set up with some kind of health care positions, but they were all looking for RNs/BSNs etc. I got business cards anyway and gave away a couple of resumes, then when I got home I found out most of them were different branches of the same two hospital groups. Oh yeah, and they want like a year hospital experience for any job that I'm otherwise qualified for, except for clerical/janitorial/bottom of the barrel stuff.

On the brighter side, there was a table with free resume evaluations, and the woman who looked over mine said it was almost perfect, she's just recommend switching the position of a couple of things. I also got a free thermos, stress ball, and handy magnet clip and avoided getting pens as much as possible.

With applying online for stuff, are you supposed to call them to see if they got it, like you would if you dropped off an application in person? This technology is baffling.

PS Wario Ware!! You should come over.
