If you are interested in going to college this fall (or summer), I urge you to take a look at some Historic Black Colleges. They are cut their tuition cost more than 30/50 percent! Colleges that once were ridiculous cost for out of state students has also dropped (thank God).
Check out HBCUConnect.com to find out more information about different black Colleges.
Seriously, I'm rethinking about the college that I want to go to (that I know I can't afford) to go to one that I can. Many HBC has reduced their tuition cost because they believe that you shouldn't have to go into debt for an education. Which is something I strongly believe it. I mean what’s the use of an education if you are over your head in debt before you get a good job? Black colleges are as good as the expensive ones…
Example:
Florida A&M University
Tuition last year:
In state: 10,000*
Out: 32,000*
Tuition this year:
In State: $3,064**
Out: $11,164**
* Is sorely priced from my memory. The exact information is some where in my room. I was looking at this college because its only 5 hours from my hometown and because some of my family goes there.
** Information subjected to be lower. Some information on HBCUC isn't update with the college's website.
