Every so often, maybe twice a year or so, I think about the days when LiveJournal was a thing. It wasn't the first community I joined, but it is where I congregated with some of the coolest people on the Internet. Back then I connected with the world via Ask-It-Here or BrainFuse (Cerescape), but LiveJournal was where all the significant action was. Those other places staged all the drama, much like Facebook does these days, yet it was the group(s) assembled in this venue that plotted all the logistics and coups to be executed elsewhere.
Amazing as it seems I still have all those early people on my LiveJournal friends list. I can't recall who most of them are in spite of each name being familiar. It would be grand to know where they all are today - probably Facebook - but I'll be content just remembering the good old days. There happens to be a tribute to some of those people on my LJ friends list. It's at Ask-It-Here (dot) com; yes, that place still exists. Maybe one or two, or even a few, of my long lost buddies will find the tribute. Check it out. It's worth the few minutes of time it takes to view it simply to see how we all have changed over the years. If any of this makes sense to you, it would be my pleasure to hear from you. I'm over at Brainformation curating the last vestiges of it's being, but those of you who know Yogi or theYogster will know where to find me.
internet friends,
