Motivational Posters and an Open Letter to California

Jul 19, 2009 20:43

First of all, I enjoy these motivational posters I made.  Picture #1 was taken at the pet store today as I picked up cat food, and #2 is the Shark Dog.  Arrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Also, I have the following to say to this state that I live in:

Dear California,
I have been driving a car for almost 15 years now and I have never had a traffic accident.  I can pass my road skills and written tests in multiple states.  I think it is just plain excessive that there need to be left turn RED arrows in this state of yours.  I am grateful for GREEN left turn arrows, as they help block traffic for me while I cross the intersection.  However, I am sick & tired of waiting at stinking red left arrows when I can plainly see that there is no oncoming traffic for 1-10 blocks.  I especially love when I am sitting waiting at the red arrow for a prolonged period of time when there is NO traffic, and then when there finally is some oncoming traffic, it then has to stop when my little green arrow finally does turn.  Let's inconvenience everyone while we're at it, right?!  I understand that there are a lot of idiots in this big state, but let's not penalize the good drivers on their behalf all of the time.  For all the damn tax money I pay you, the least I ask is for you to trust my judgment and let me turn left into my apartment complex at 8:13 PM.

Thank you for nothing, yogaswirl
