Tonight after my busy day at work (oh yes, another 10 hour day...sigh), I called Husband to tell him I was leaving work and he replied that he had already eaten dinner and that he was going to some speaker or something at 6:30 pm. It was a little before 6:00, so I decided to go read at Borders for an hour or two until he was done -- not really enough time to go home, then have to turn around and go back to get him. (When I get home, I want to stay there.) I started reading the second book in the Twilight series, and had a caramel latte... and then was distracted by the fact that these 3 goth kids were playing with a pet rat in the coffee shop at Borders. No one seemed to notice, and the rat was seemingly well-behaved, so I kept reading, but it was still out of place. You know how some teenagers (OK, some adults too) are just a little over the top so that you notice how unique and special they are? These were those sort of kids, and their little rat too.
Anyway, I enjoyed my little bit of unexpected/unplanned downtime. Now I'm home and Husband is starting a cold and I'm really hoping that I don't catch it from him -- especially since I'm finally starting to plateau with my pneumonia recovery. My lungs still hurt with a deep breath or yawning or sneezing, but it's been worse.
On another random note, I listened to the classical music station on the way home tonight and now I want to go to a concert.
rambling,
for real?
