Gold medal in Olympic whining
Why oh why are all of the events I want to watch on after 10:00 pm? Last night I fell asleep watching the Women's Team gymnastics final, tonight I wanted to watch the Men's all-around, but it is 9:38 pm and there is still beach volleyball on. I am not going to last more than another 30 minutes, I'm afraid. I'm old -- and ha, I'll be even older soon and fall asleep even earlier.
On an up note, today I got two early-birthday packages in the mail -- one from my inlaws which contained Cheese curds (!!) and a cloth wallet that my Mother-in-Law made me from fabrics we brought back from our Hawaiian honeymoon -- very nice. I have been trying to explain cheese curds to my Californian coworkers for a year now, so I will take some with me to work tomorrow and share. (I'm sure I will have more when I visit WI in a month!) The other package is from
sparklesalad, and I am saving to to open on my actual birthday. Very nice :) Sissy, is it something to sleep with?!
